Journal 06-18-2015

Good morning or whatever part of the day is for you. Today is Thursday, June 18, 2015. The temperature is 64.1°F and the humidity is 87% at 5:10 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 mph with gusts of 2.2 mph. It was overcast when stuck my head out, much as it has been for a while. Weather Underground is predicting a 0% chance of precipitation and a high of 87° (“nearly the same as yesterday”) today.

The pumpkin bread turned out great. Oh, it’s so yummy and so unhealthful. I think, though, that if (who am I kidding? Of course I’ll make this again) I make this again I’ll cut down the sugar a bit. As it stands, it calls for three cups for three loaves. It also asks for a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Oh, yum. It’s like pumpkin pie you can eat with your hands.

The Hardy Boys review is up. I can’t say it’s taking Examiner by storm, but it did get a couple of page views that weren’t mine. I’ll write up number 2 in the next day or two.

We have to go into Mr. Siduri’s old work to settle some paperwork with the dissolving pension plan. He wants to go in early to avoid his old boss. I’ll take one loaf of pumpkin bread.

Off to write another day—

Thanks for reading. Hope you and yours are all well and happy. Hope the day brings you good things.

Writing schedule:

1. Spend an hour with Siegfried

2. Hardy Boys no. 2

3. Read for an hour.

The bread sounds yummy/ I would leave the sugar where it is.

It tastes sweet to me and I have an incorrigible sweet tooth.

I've never made pumpkin bread, but I do make yummy pumpkin scones. No harm in cutting that sugar back a little.

It's probably very much like the pumpkins scones, only moister. And I think I will cut the sugar back next time. The recipe makes three loaves and calls for three cups (1 cup = roughly 240 ml, IIRC). Good thing I froze a loaf.
