Are you ready for a dog?

To be certain that you're capable to revel in these advantages it's predominant that you just ask your self the following questions earlier than getting a puppy or dog: can i come up with the money for to have a dog? Ongoing expenditures corresponding to meals, veterinary prices and insurance can fee roughly £25 per week. Am i able to make a lifelong dedication to a dog? A canine's typical span is 12 years. Is my house large ample to house a dog? Do I particularly want to care for a dog day-to-day? Will there be any one at residence for a dog? Dogs get lonely similar to humans. I am missing having a pet, but it's been more than a decade. I'm also not sure that I want to put myself or the animal in that situation given my diagnosis. It would sure be nice to have some other creature to have near me, but I wouldn't want to leave it orphaned if/when something happens. No guarantees, I suppose.

That's a good idea. I don't want one that has worst medical issues than I do, though. LOL I don't have the income to support both medical and vet bills. emoticon :winking:

I will check into that. At 59, I haven't really considered myself a "senior," but I suppose the handwriting is on the wall. ROFL (I'll be 60 in August.)

As much as I love dogs I just don't have the time or energy to give them the attention that they deserve. It really annoys me when people own dogs and yet they hardly walk them.

I have three dogs that live with me. While I love them, I do not want any right now.

As much as I would love to have a dog, I don't think I could care for it and give it the attention which it deserves. Great ideas in this article.

I would love to have a dog, but I don't think my cat would ever get over it.

I don't think we are. Its really hard to have a pet in the house because no one is going to look after it when we are all gone for school and work.
