It's Friday and It's a Holiday

Hi Persona Peeps! It's Friday, June 12, at my end. It's gonna be a long weekend because we are celebrating our country's Independence Day today. I know it's still Thursday evening in other parts of the world but I am pretty sure that every one is looking forward to something wonderful in the weekend.
Because of my present condition, I will be obviously cooped up in my lair during the weekend. My friends already promised to call on tomorrow , ergo I am busy cleaning the house. It should be spic and span by tomorrow. Also, my former students will drop by this afternoon because they don't have classes. I am so excited.
I will also prepare homemade tacos and nachos so we'll have something to munch on while watching old movies .
What are you looking forward to on the weekend?

Sounds like fun :) I have an ant problem so I started my battle with the ants. So far I'm winning, i think.

Happy Independence Day to all the Filipinos around the world. We are now celebrating freedom from colonization.

The Battle of Manila Bay is just like a battle between ants and humans. Lol. Happy Independence day my friend.

That sounds good, I love Mexican food. I observe Shabbat, so for me, every Friday starts off a holiday and that is my plan. At sundown I will get off the computer and have some family time and then tomorrow we will go to services and spend time with G-d and the people there.

You might find this crazy, but I have controlled the ants here with this simple method. First I always have on hand my homemade citrus cleaner. I make this by filling a jar with citrus peels (I have used oranges, grapefruits, lemons, any citrus fruit will do) and then I fill the jar with white vinegar. I let that sit for two weeks and then strain it into a spray bottle. I use this to clean around the house, but when I start seeing ants, I spray the area I see them and because it is a counter and gets wiped a lot, I end up having to respray a few times, but soon there are no more ants.
