What Should You Know About Sweeble App?

Sweeble app was announced on Bubblews at the end of January 2015, and at the time it was shrouded in mystery. All we knew was that it would be “different” from Bubblews, and that it was a social media app. After Arvind's announcement about Sweeble, I wrote the following report on another writing site, which has since closed.

Bubblews and Sweeble: What We Know

Sweeble is the latest project taken on by Bubblews CEO Arvind Dixit and his team. A new and completely separate product according to Dixit, the mobile app will instead complement from the social blogging site. On January 29th, Bubblews invited its users to sign up not for the app itself, but for “pre-registration.”

Those who sign up will receive a notification at some future time when the invitation-only app is ready for launch. Getting on the mailing list at this point reserves the user's spot in line and generates a unique invitation code, which the user is then prompted to share with “three or more” friends.

What is Sweeble?

The Bubblews CEO is vague about the purpose of the Sweeble mobile app , but hints that it will have something to do with communication and writing. “Sweeble will enter a slightly different market and medium for expressing oneself to the digital world,” Dixit says in his announcement.

We do know that the app will be optimized for iOS and Android, but that's about all the details that have been made available either on Bubblews or on the Sweeble app site.

Update: The Sweeble app was launched June 11, 2015

This is great news! Now we have yet another way not to get paid for our work! emoticon

I was wondering the same thing. I blog at Bubblews all the time and haven't really seen any updates yet. Earnings have picked up a little now but that don't help much. &pinkmonkey if you follow me

That's an absolute guarantee: Sweeble isn't a revenue sharing app emoticon

It's slow all over, I think emoticon

I don't have one of those fancy i phones , so I wont be able to use the sweeble app.

I am not able to use it but was wondering if it was really going to happen

Oh, shock. I didn't get an invitation to join the site. (Major sarcasm) Is the betting pool open on which one folds first, Sweeble or Bubbleooze?

No doubt Sweeble's market will evolve as they find out out what type of users use it and what they use it for!

Oh well, I don't have an android and I would never buy Apple products, so that's me out.

Ruby3881 wrote on June 12, 2015, 4:01 AM

I don't have an iPhone either - or an "i" anything! I do have an Android-based smart phone that would run the app, but honestly I don't see the point. I'm not interested in all the swanky Sweeble celebs, and if I want to share photos with people I have Facebook for that.

Ruby3881 wrote on June 12, 2015, 4:03 AM

Yeah, I was wondering too! For a while I thought maybe Arvind wouldn't actually launch the app. He's notorious for announcing upcoming greatness and then falling short of the mark....

Ruby3881 wrote on June 12, 2015, 4:11 AM

I suspect Sweeble will enjoy at least initial success, owing to the celebrities Arvind has recruited. But looking at the reviews on Google Play, the app is already glitchy. Not at all surprising for a beta release, I suppose. But i doubt the scalable like thing is enough to hold the users' attention, if there are too many issues. People already have enough options for photosharing, so this app can't afford to be kicking people out when they try to add a profile pic....

Ruby3881 wrote on June 12, 2015, 4:15 AM

I think they're trying to compete with Instagram. Just like Bubblews was trying to compete with Facebook...

I hear you on the Apple products, Tony!

carolscash wrote on June 12, 2015, 6:31 AM

Now that I know it has been launched, I will check it out, but I won't use it if it is about sharing photos and stuff. I think that we need to devise a site that allows us to write and get paid a decent amount of money

I don't think I will be wasting any of my precious 'data' allowance on Sweeble! btw I thought the original owner of Sweeble was stopping Dixit from using the name ?

wolfgirl569 wrote on June 12, 2015, 11:05 AM

Still falls short in my opinion as I think many thought it would be a new way to earn money.

Arvind, you need to find another line of work. And this time pay attention to all your other little trundle businesses you have instead of cheating people and ignoring them. No way to do any business.
