Journal 06-05-2015

Good morning or whatever part of the day is for you. Today is Friday May 5, 2015. The temperature is 61.4°F and the humidity is 67% at 5:59 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 mph with gusts of 2.2 mph. It was cloudy and dawning when I stuck my head out, but I saw the moon in its waning gibbous phase, so I’m told. They were predicting rain for today earlier this week but it doesn’t seem likely now. Weather Underground is predicting a 0% chance of precipitation and a high of 72° today.

I have the first draft of the fairy tale and it sucks. I’ll have to make it something less awful to submit it to the contest. I have a month or so to make it decent. Plus I want to work on another short story and submit it in September.

I get my crown put on later the morning. That will be one thing out of the way.

Mr. Siduri is starting on the baseboards in the kitchen. Removing them has revealed a rather stunning yellow beneath everything. The house was built in 1964. Maybe that was the original color? Boy, I hate to think so. There’s also an indication of a lot of cleaning that needs to be done. Oh, well. It’s odd with kitchen floor. I can mop it every night and get a bucket full of black water and the floor doesn’t really look that much cleaner. Just have to mop it every night and maybe over months— and a series of new mop heads.

Oh, well. Off to start the day.
