Considering Portable Air Conditioner

I am considering getting a portable air conditioner and then a bunch more fans for our place. We were very fortunate to have someone give us a window air conditioner, but we're not set up for one of those. We don't own our place (rent) so it's one of those situations where no one is open to installing it for us. So, I've been thinking of the portable air conditioner. It would only be one since I get the impression they are on the expensive side. But fans combined with at least one air conditioner should help a lot.

I am looking up prices and comparing portable air conditioning unit prices, but as far as setting them up, they seem a lot less difficult. I am going to find out soon. I'm sure portable air conditioners have been around for a while (or maybe not?), but it will be my first time working with and looking in to one.

I have one and they are great when the heats really on. Mine has an attachment you can use on certain types of windows, so you can stick the vent pipe into it, which takes hot air from the motor in the unit outside. It doesn´t fit the windows in my caravan unfortunately, but I just tape a large plastic bag around the gap in the window, leaving the vent pipe uncovered.

Great idea for a portable one because if you had to move then you can easily take it with you, good luck in finding one!
