May Is Our April

You know the old saying, "April showers bring May showers". Well, this year I don't believe that was a truth, because April did not give us much rain and the trees were just budding.

But May that is a different story. We have had rain, rain and rain. But also cold, cold, hot, cold, you get what I mean. And today, it is rainy and very cold for this time of year. The temperature is sitting at 45 degrees. With this kind of weather, it makes me rather tired and I have to force myself to get things done. All I can say is I am glad I don't have to do the laundry by hand.

Anyway, the trees are finally full and green. And my lilac bushes have bloomed and, there sweet smell greets me every time I go outside or open up the windows. My lilacs have bloomed, and the peonies are full and loaded. If we have a couple of warm days they will be blooming.

I have to be honest, I am anxious to see some warm weather so I can walk outside in shorts. I know I will see it in a couple of weeks. But it does seem far away. At least May has finally blessed us with enough rain and greenery to make the wait bearable.

I think the saying is: "April showers bring May flowers.". ;) But anywho--the weather has just been goofy. ;p

Spring is rather late here, this year too. Things are only starting to get green now and it's only a month to the longest day!

I do not believe in this saying either because it is too hot in the Philippines especially now on May.

April is a good time to mow the grass every single week!
