A Long Week
For the last week I have been missing in action on this site. And as a matter of fact, from the computer. It is what I would call a forced vacation from the Internet.
On Mother's Day I get a text from my oldest son that he has vacation and he is coming home for the week. Now I had most of the housework done, but I had to rush around and do some last minute dusting. And then hubby, I and the dog were ready for him.
Now, what I came to realize is that when someone comes to visit, it really puts a stop to your usually day to day living. And that includes housework. For instance, while my oldest son slept, I cleaned the bathroom, I dusted, did laundry and dishes (the last two was almost a daily routine). Then when he woke up, I'd fix him breakfast,a little pampering at least for the first few days. But after that, I let him create what he wanted since he was on the Zone diet.
Then my youngest son came home. Now we had the whole family together. I have to admit that was nice. And I have to say, Tabby was happy too. When he saw my youngest son in the bedroom reading, she was whining and crying. She did that for a minute or two before she opened the door and jumped on the bed. She smothered him with kisses and then laid down beside him while he read.
Well, now that they are all gone, I believe we are going to have to replenish our refrigerator. Oh well, I wouldn't have it any other way.
