Introduction for longhair2015

I enjoy learning about eating healthier foods that are not as processed. I've been amazed at what I've learned is added to many of the foods we eat and why they tend to make us feel the way we feel. Foods such as Catsup, cereal and bread have added ingredients that I never new existed beyond corn syrup. I didn't know that there is food coloring that is somewhat dangerous added to many of the foods found at our local grocery stores. It makes you want to take a closer look at food labels and pay more attention to what you buy and choose not to buy. The food coloring that I've read about has been linked to hyperactivity in children among other things.

Apart from everything else that is added, processed food almost always has too much salt ( sodium) too.

I'm discovering that if you read the food labels you won't find much processed food that will not have something unhealthy. Fresh is best.
