Fifty Shades of Grey (Unofficial Review)
This is a soft review about Fifty Shades of Grey (Movie). Everything written on this review does not necessarily reflect the quality of the film but are only the opinions of the author based on how he saw the movie.
So I watched the Fifty Shades of Grey movie yesterday and I was really disappointed with the film. I haven't read the book yet because I don't want my knowledge beforehand to ruin the film for me but that's not the been the case. The movie was able to ruin itself in a boring manner and this has been the first time for years that I kept on pausing the film so that I can do other stuff.
Fifty Shades of Grey wasn't capable of keeping its viewers focused throughout the movie, and not even the sex scenes (which are supposedly its strong part) were incapable of making a young man like me stay rooted to my seat. I was even thinking of when will all this be over? Yeah, it was that bad. The only thing going on for me was that I liked the main actress. She's very simple and very pretty as well, so she managed to make the movie acceptable at the very least.
I feel as if the thing that really hurt the movie most was its extremely fast pace. I'm not sure if that was how the book narrated the story and if that's the case, then the book sucks as well. However, I don't think that a UK and US bestseller would succumb to this sort of flaw.
Finally, I learned that Fifty Shades of Grey is the first part of a trilogy so I'm thinking that fast pacing is by design and the remaining two would cleanly tie the knots and leave us with a complete story. I'm still keeping my hopes up though because I just couldn't get over Miss Anastasia Steele. Lol!
