My Favorite Quotes
Obviously I'm going to be doing several writing prompts this week, and here is another one I found. It states: "Quotes List: What are some of your favorite quotes? Create a list of them on your journal page." Let me give this a whirl, as I have several quotes in mind:
"Don't think outside the box, think like there is no box." --- I found this on Twitter, and I love quotes that inspire you to be creative, whether it is writing or crafts. :) They say to "think outside the box" -but this one is saying to just step out of the box altogether. :)
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." --- I get moody sometimes, and even stressed or frustrated, and this quote tells me to learn how to deal with it rather than sitting on the sidelines.
"A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference." –Eeyore. I think this one is self-explanatory. I see so many people act cruel to each other on social media, or I hear about it on the news. If everyone would just show some consideration for each other, this world may be a better place.
"Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten." -Lilo & Stitch. I'm family-oriented, and even when we don't get along, they will always be the most important people in my life.
"Daddy, someday I will meet my Prince Charming, but you will always be my King." -Disney Quote. I think it's from the Little Mermaid, but I don't know. Either way, it is self-explanatory, considering I lost my Daddy almost two years ago.
"Look David, I ain't no philosopher. But everyone knows that there's good and there's bad, okay? Nobody thinks that the bad stuff is ever gonna happen to them, and then one day, wham! – all of a sudden it does. And you think that there's no way that you can go on. But the day goes by, and another day goes by, then a week, a month, a year. And when you look back, you'll say "Hey, I got through this. I don't know how, but I made it"." - Dan Connor on Roseannne, "The Miracle."
---- I love sitcoms, especially Roseanne, and this quote has ALWAYS stuck out to me. I have learned it big time, what with losing my Daddy, and you can get through it, even if it is the hardest thing in the world.
"Things will happen in your life that you cannot stop, but that's no reason to shut out the world. There's a purpose for the good and the bad." -Crazy Pete, Now & Then.
---- This is pretty much my favorite quote of all time. Life has it's ups and downs; highs and lows; excitement and tragedy; and so on. You cannot always stop the bad things from happening, but you do not have to hide away forever when it does happen.
There we go, a few of my favorite quotes. You are more than welcome to try this writing prompt on your own post. You all have a good day and remember, we're halfway finished with the week. Take care, everyone.
