Experiencing Nightmares

These past few days, I frequently experienced having nightmares whenever do my usual siesta. I can't really remember what the nightmares were about but I do remember having them. I'm not sure what the cause are and why I am having them since it's been a long time when I last had one. I'm not a huge believer when it comes to the paranormal but I can't say that I'm enamored by the frequency of my nightmares.

I'm beginning to think that there might be something or someone watching me. I've been living in my home for almost 16 years now and this is the first time since my childhood that I started to feel scared about spirits or ghosts. I feel as if there are dark energies around the house and what's more is that my pet dog is beginning to show signs that there is someone here with us.

He starts to cower in fear at random times and most of the time he makes sure that he's close to us. I also see him looking towards our kitchen as if there's someone there. Me and my mom are the only people living in our home since my dad is working abroad. I don't know if she notices the same things that I'm noticing but I made a joke about it the other day and it didn't seem to affect her as much as I hoped it would.

Maybe all of these things are just in my head. I surely wish that it is...

Are you taking any medication? For instance L-dopa can cause nightmares as far as I understand. If you are taking medication or have changed your medication, that could be affecting your dreams. Also, have you any stress in your life, Are you eating any different foods or in different amounts? These can all have an effect. Personally, I don't lean towards the dark energy theory, however, could there be anyone watching your house? Alternatively, could there be a maintenance problem in your house, a faulty heater or fire? Your subconscious may be trying to tell you that something is wrong and you need to deal with it.

Sprinkle salt through out the area and then sweep the negative away with it. Just the action of cleansing usually helps you feel better

Woah.. I never thought about doing this but what you said totally made sense. I've been living an unhealthy lifestyle ever since I started college because of the sheer amount of school work and extra curricular activities that I have. Not to mention the fact that I'm extremely lazy and I don't know how to handle my time well.

I guess it has something to do with how I eat and stuff. I've been thinking of changing my lifestyle for months now but I keep on reverting to my old habits. This time however I'm going to push through with the change since I'm about to graduate soon and my life's not as occupied with school works as I used to.

Not really a believer of this kind of stuff and it might freak the hell out of my mom lol. Thanks for the tip though! I might try doing it since the problem might just be stemming out of my head. Thanks again wolfgirl569!
