Not Much Time To Myself

This week I have been rather busy. In fact, I haven't had much time to myself. All week we have been going here, there or catching up.

Monday, after our four-legged visitors, I got some housework done and I needed to get the dishes and laundry done. By the time I got most everything done, hubby was home. And yes, he was hungry. So, I fixed dinner and then plopped myself down on the couch and watched The Voice. Hubby did the same, but of course, he fell asleep at 8 pm so he missed most of the second half.

Tuesday, hubby came home early. And really, when he does not have anything planned he usually trots into my office sits down and starts talking. Now, tell me, can you write when someone is conversing with you. If you can, you have to give me some tips, because I certainly can not, and of course, he won't let me either. So, since I knew I could not get anything done, I suggested we get some groceries.

So, we got some groceries, ran a couple of more errands than hubby went for his dentist check on his tooth.

Wednesday was my day for the doctor. It started early, but the doctor's office was also doing some training of a PA. So, I spent the morning answering the same questions twice. Why did I do it. Since I was in there for only a 6 month check I felt comfortable with the idea. Can't say, what I would do if I felt miserable.

And today, I was thinking about mowing the lawn, but I think it is going to rain again. If I can't mow, it may be my first day to slow down, finally.

Hope all are having a good day.

I thought I would mow. It looks like it is going to rain. So killed that idea.

Very busy week there. I cant type while talking to someone either. Unless I want to type the conversation

And people just don't realise (or don't want to realise) that they are taking up YOUR time!

Definitely sounds like you're having a busy week. My days are usually pretty busy too. Some days are more so than others, but such is life.

Well there is nothing you can do about your hubby specially when he has no work, I think you better take that opportunity too, specially at this time that we almost get ourselves busy with different careers, if you don't have anything to do at that time I guess you better prioritized your hubby... hehehehe! God bless your whole family.

LOL. Yes I write while my husband is talking to me. Throw in a few "uh huhs" and head nods from time to time. He has always had the ability to carry on a long drawn-out conversation without any input from me. He keeps talking. I keep typing. :)

&roseptal Being busy is a good thing sometimes. But the running around gets you tired. I know that myself. I had to take my girlfriend to the doctor this morning and it took them a long time to get her tests done. But that seems to be the way it is these days. We are just a number.

Hoping that you can still find time for yourself no matter how busy you have been lately.

Ha! As a matter of fact, that was what I started today. So I gave up in frustration.

You do have a point. I don't know why but hubby thinks I can just drop anything and do what he wants. Sometimes I just have to advise him that it will be a few minutes and to please give me a few minutes of quiet time so I can get it done. Than of course, if I am online, I'm done for a while. I wonder what it is going to be like when he is retired.

I guess it is better to be busy than to sit around and do nothing.

Thanks crowntower . Yes, I will usually concede and give him the time. Like you say, when both are busy, it doesn't hurt to have time that the two of can share.

Ha! That's funny. I tried the "uh huhs" but then he will say, "are you listening to me? What did I say." Then the "uh huhs" get me in trouble.

That is so true. My doctor wants to give me a physical. Really not interested in it. But since I have had so many things going wrong lately. It looks like I will be having a physical in the near future. I know it is a good thing to keep you healthy, but I just don't like the long drawn out process and the running around I have to do.

I believe I will be able to etch some time out this Friday. All is rather quiet, and even the dog is not bothering me.

rosepetal I hear that. I hate waiting in doctor's offices. It just drags me down. And then if they want a test you have to go all over the place. I know the feeling. But, sometimes we just have to do it.
