Going Out and Writing....

Monday and Tuesday were productive, and today...was not. There were two assignments on the "Favorite Writers Board" (which you have to be added to by clients), so I grabbed one and went out with my best friend.

We hit Big Lots, The Dollar Tree and Walmart. I needed to pick up a few necessities, a card for my Momma and then some odds and ends. It wasn't anything out of the usual.

When she dropped me off, I put my stuff away, ate and just lounged. My brother was on his way to get the girls so I decided to wait to take on that assignment. The other one was gone, blehhhh. I did get the assignment done though.

I found another client on the regular job board, who currently has over 500 assignments on the board. I've never written for her before, but it was kind of easy so I just grabbed an assignment. I only took one for two reasons - 1. It's getting late, and 2., I want to see if she accepts it first. I've been in the situation where I would write several assignments, only to have the client nitpick to the point of me throwing them back to avoid a rejection on my stats. I remember that too, he was all "I could have written this myself" -- and I WANTED to shoot back with "Then why didn't you?" but I decided to remain professional lol.

But yeah, the point is....I'm gonna wait and see how this first assignment goes. If it goes well, then as long as she keeps uploading work, I'll have another client to write for. I'm hoping the other one I wrote for adds more work, as well as my usual client. Hey, they say variety is the spice of life, and I like having different things to write about. And you NEVER know when it could land you a regular client. I started off taking assignments from my usual client from the job board, and weeks later I was asked about direct orders. I'm so glad I agreed to that. :)

Anywhooo, here is to hoping I have plenty of work to do tomorrow. Tomorrow is also the first day this week we have ALL the kiddies. We only have them all tomorrow and Friday. I think we're gonna try to get them to make Mother's Day cards. I'm hoping it goes smoothly, unlike last Thursday and Friday when it was chaotic, and that I can still get a good amount of work done.

Alrighty, my thirteen-year-old niece asked to use the desktop, and I wanna get on my tablet anyways, since I'm obviously not going to be working much more tonight. I'm so glad I went over my usual quota yesterday. Well hey, at least I'll get to bed at a decent hour lol.
