Good morning or whatever part of the day it is for you. Today is Saturday May 2, 2015. The temperature is 59.9°F and the humidity is 61% at 4:32 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 with gusts of 0.7 mph. Awfully quiet. Except for Mr. Siduri who says he might as well get up with me. He needs his sleep. He’s going to be crabby today. Saw only handle of the Big Dipper again today. Weather Underground is predicting a 0% chance of precipitation and a high of 85° today. Again, it’s supposed to be “much cooler” than it was yesterday. Boy, I hope so.

Picked up the car from the shop yesterday. The bill was slightly less than $1500. That hurts. Saw a help wanted sign for pizza delivery person. Think I’ll apply. Lousy hours, low pay, cash tips… This could work out. At least at this point it would be enough to cover the insurance, which it what I’m really hoping for. And I could (in theory) keep the part-time starvation wage job with the driving worker’s compensation people.

Mr. Siduri continues to do a lot of work on the bathroom off the master bedroom. He couldn’t find a new medicine chest, but realized the one in there had a plastic coating on it. He spent not small amount of time removing that and cleaning the cabinet yesterday. It looks a lot better, not quite new, but much better. He painted the walls, heedless of the floor which is disappearing soon, patching some of the drywall. And since the toilet was pulled yesterday, there’s just a whole lot more room in there.

I’ve got a stick of butter sitting out on the kitchen counter. Going to make cookies today and bring some to Mr. Siduri’s mom when we go visit her tomorrow.

It’s going to look sharp once it’s done.

Heard back from the guy I’ve been doing some beta reading for. He found me remarks helpful. I’m glad. The master plan (if I can stick to it) is to read and comment on a chapter a day.

Thanks for reading. Hope you and yours are all well and happy. Hope the day brings you good things.

Writing schedule:

1. Continue reading Writing Fantasy & Science Fiction.

2. Refurbish another sci-fi review and post it.

3. Do a sorta daily writing prompt.

4. Continue researching and rewriting chapter 1 using critique group’s suggestions. On to chapter 2.

5. Read and review “Vital Ingredient.”

6. Read and review “Fairy Gossamer.”

6. Review the Van De Mieroop book on cuneiform for Examiner and one other before May 4.

7. Critique another chapter in “Infinite Prison” and send it back to J.

My car is 13 years old. I will probably sell it one of these days. But in the meantime, I need to at least cover the cost of the last trip to the shop!

Oh, I hope mine lasts a little longer and holds up to be a trade in on something.
