Something went wrong with Firefox
I have used Mozilla Firefox for quite some time and it worked well before yesterday .Yesterday I used it to log in personapaper ,guess what !what appeared wasn’t personapaper but a strange website called WPKG.org in which it said WPKG is an automated software, deployment, upgrade and removal program for Windows.I tried again and again ,more of the same . I got really frustrated with it and felt as though I ordered a dish ,the waiter served me with another and he didn’t change it for me no matter how I pleaded with him. However ,this didn’t happen to other sites except peosonapaper on Mozilla Firefox ,go figure !I searched the problem online .Some said my hosts document (“c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc”)was modified ,but it went over my head .Happily,I eventually logged in personapaper with IE.

Wow, you know I have been experiencing problems with my computer, but nothing like that and I use Mozilla. I also understand the "over my head" solution too. Like I can't even get on IE, something about the proxy and I went into the settings and Lans (whatever that is) and unchecked the box, yet when I hit "apply" and then "close" I still can't get on and going back into the settings, that stupid box is checked again. I also can not add Java or flash player to my computer, so the only videos I can watch are youtube ones, I can't even use the old version on my online class site. Fortunately I will be getting a new computer soon, but I hate these issues that are beyond my ability to correct.

Oh ,you will soon get your new computer ,which will make things easier .I haven't made a systematic study of computer.Usually I turn to internet ,if I come across some problems. However I tend to be none the wiser after reading how to solve the problems.Strange to say ,today I am able to log in here with Fire fox .

I have been asking and learning about how to fix minor problems ever since MyLot days. From the internet to Word Office, I have learned quite a lot, but not enough to go into the registry (the latest solution) that is too close to me just killing my computer altogether.

Oh, and it could have been a glitch on firefox, that happens sometimes.

I am using firefox and have not had that problem. But try clearing your cache that sometimes can be a big help.

Maybe I must do as you said .However this time ,the problem has solved without me doing anything .

I believe it was probably the site, not so much the browser. From time to time, sites -- notably associated with their advertising -- will (unintentionally on the part of the site owner) attack the visitor. I hope you didn't respond in any way to the attacking message. When I get such a message, I immediately shut the browser down. The safest way is by using ALT-CTRL-DEL -- all three buttons at the same time.

Thank you for clearing this problem up !I will follow your advice if it happens to me next time .

If you have a default homepage look and see what that is. If your browser, Firefox, is able to go to any other site when you type in the correct URL but keep getting re-eirected to that other site when you type in the URL address to Personapaper, then you have a bug. To fix any bug like this you uninstall the browser, run antivirus scan fully on your computer system, then download and install a new version of Firefox. If you bookmark personapaper or list it in favorites it should not redirect to any other site. It has to be a browser bug. Remember to run antivirus scan first, then uninstall the Firefox browser, and then run disk cleanup in windows and check the box in front of temporary internet files, make sure you have also deleted any and all addons that are used with your Firefox browser. If you have to reinstall the add-ons later it should not be too hard to do.

Thank you for teaching me how to deal with the glitch.Fortunately ,it hasn't happened to me from then on .My present operating system is WindowsXP,which is out of date ,so I think this is why there are this and that problems with my computer ..

This site has been hijacked by ads before. I use Firefox, as well, and it happened to me, too, but just once.

It was quite a bother to me then ,happily it hasn't happened to me from then on .

Paulie wrote on July 14, 2015, 4:07 AM
I got into Bubblews about a month ago to see what was happening. I still have an account there because Bubblews owes me close to $300 for unpaid redemptions.
1jiangliu1949 wrote on July 14, 2015, 4:50 AM
I am surprised that you have so much outstanding payment there .I wonder how much money they have embezzled .
Shellyann36 wrote on July 14, 2015, 9:46 PM
I am unable to log into Bubblews from Chrome myself. I can only use FF for Chrome. I have had this problem for ages. I have no idea why but when I go to the site I do have to use FF.
1jiangliu1949 wrote on July 15, 2015, 2:45 AM
Shellyann36 Now there is no browser that can help me log in Bubblews .They say it has to do with Google's pulling out of China .
Shellyann36 wrote on July 15, 2015, 4:56 AM
Oh I am sorry to hear that. I am glad you are still able to get on PP.

I used Firefox for awhile. It worked well for a time. Then I switched to Google Chrome and I really think Chrome is the one that works best on my lap top.
