Monday Ramblings

Well, the weekend is over and hubby has gone back to work. I, on the other hand, is sitting in front of my computer and just staring out my office window. Not ambitious is it?

I think I expended all my energy in mowing the law on Sunday. Usually I don't mind mowing but since I have been fighting my sore arm I had to have the assistance of hubby to finish the last half of the yard. However, I do feel that I regaining strength in my arm, which is good.

I'm getting hubby to accept my plant based diet. And he is meeting me half way. He is actually eating some of the things I'm eating, such as Quinoa and rice. It is a start. I am truly hoping it will help my cholesterol numbers. And surprisingly, I don't miss the meat.

Here is the funny part, when I was a kid, my parents had a hard time getting me to eat meat. Why? I didn't like the taste of it. But I would eat a hamburger to their relief. Maybe, my body was telling me something at an early age, you think.

Anyway, I got the Thug Kitchen Cookbook and I must admit not only is it entertaining but they also teach. I have never read a cookbook before, in fact, I will just look up a recipe and be done with it. With this book, I've been going through some of the recipes, but also absorbing the tips that they generously share.

Well, that is enough of my ramblings for the day, I need to get the white clothes in the dryer. Have a great day all.

I don't bother going to find out about the numbers, not interested. I just eat healthily. I reckon I am going to die some day (gosh - never!) and I prefer to enjoy my food while here!

I love meat too much to give it up. Glad you are enjoying it, it is supposed to be healthier

Have a great day! I think your office is surely nice having a window where you can peek at the sky while working. I am glad that your arms is working fine now, don't stress your body too much with so many very heavy work... hehehehe. God bless you and your hubby to Christ be the glory!

I have to admit I am enjoying the new cookbook. It is teaching me how to cook some different veg dishes. As well as spicing up my meals some.

Well, I figure if I eat fish and vegs and fruits, eating right and making it taste good as well, I'll be healthier, especially since I tried almost every statin that they have on the market and they gave me side effects. I'm going in to see what my numbers are in another week. I'm kind of anxious to see if my cleaner eating has helped at all. Would be nice.

I have another health issue which makes it difficult to eat meat, so it was the likely progression that I would lean more toward a vegetarian type eating life style.

I hope you had a great day as well. Yes, I like looking out my office window and watching people, animals and birds go about their business.
