QOD: Homemade Pizza or Buddha's Delight?

Watched parts of two new shows yesterday. Was torn between the two brand new episodes because they both came on at the same time, on different channels. (NO! Never learned how to program a VCR!)

- So on one show the guy lives on a and he was making . He milked the cow that morning and used that milk to make fresh .

- On the other show, the lady was visiting a farm and planned to prepare dishes using freshly picked produce. She ended up serving a platter. All sorts of root sliced thin like potato chips (raw; not cooked).

QOD (Question of the Day):

- If you have to choose between pizza and a veggie delight*, as your last supper, which would you pick?

(* Some folks call a vegetable platter or plate with all veggies, Buddha's Delight.)

* * *

If it's my last supper, I'm going for the pizza – loaded with meat and veggies!! Extra large. Extra cheese. And I'm not sharing!! emoticon :smile:

FYI. In America, October is National Pizza Month .

Not too keen on pizza. My last ideal last supper would be a Scottish classic - mince 'n tatties!

Pizza all the way between those two choices.

Budd's Delight sounds good...maybe you should try both.

Because of my husband's health we restrict ourselves from having pizza. Don't want to tempt him. But if it's my last supper? I'm shuffling off this mortal body enjoying every last bite of that pizza! :)

Crushed tomatoes, chicken and mushrooms? That sounds delicious!! Great alternative! :)

Well, the dishes that I have eaten that were called Buddha's Delight were very tasty and filling. :)

My home made pizza would shave it, I think. Yes, I buy the bases, at least until I find the recipe my mother's friend gave me 20 years ago, that is, which states how to make the base as well.

WordChazer - Speak to me in English. :) What are "the bases"? And what does "shave it" mean?

*Grin* I buy the pizza dough bases from the store ready made. They're ready shaped and part baked - just need to be finished off in the oven. I used to have a recipe to make a pizza including the dough, but I lost it somewhere. And 'shave it' in my lingo, means 'to win by a hair'. My toppings are better than anything you'll find in the store, and that I have from several friends.
