Mildred the Cat - Guiness the Cat, dear Prince, are you out there?

Howdy everybody. It's Mildred. I know I haven't been writing lately and I know the reasons why. I'm lazy. My mom is lazy and also very busy, and that's the story, morning glory!

Anyhoo, I'm very worried about my best male friend, Guiness the Cat ( OldRoadsOnceTraveled ). I do remember his mom, Debbi, writing something awhile back about how she and Guiness needed to earn some money for his cat food (same as me and my mom) and they wouldn't be writing as much for awhile.

Is that all it is, Guiness, or have you found another feline significant other and dumped me and are afraid to tell me? I hope that's not the case as I still have very strong feelings for you.

Life around here has been quite boring and I've been napping more than usual. In fact, I feel another nap coming on so will sign off for now.

I sure hope to hear from you, Guiness, and soon. If Debbi isn't buying you enough cat food or snacks, let me know and I'll overnight you some chicken and Friskies Pate.

Till next time, purrs, paws and high fives.

Mildred, you look ready to jump out through my screen!

LindaCPearson wrote on April 13, 2015, 3:11 PM

If I could, I would!! Sometimes I think about jumping through my mom's screen but I don't think she'd like that.

Ha! In reality we of the Association of Bloggers against Cat Power have kidnapped your feline cohorts and are holding them prisoner in a . . . oh, wait - that was a dream I had! emoticon  No doubt they are having a short break, They'll be back.

I hope you're right and they're just taking a break. Your dream sounds like a real nightmare to me!

Bless you, Mildred, come over here to say hello and you'll find lots of places to curl up and be called gorgeous and soft and adorable and all those adjectives a cat loves to hear. We are without a feline inspector of household works at the moment although both my husband and I are working on various new arrivals to the village in the hope that they will assume the post in due course.

Hi, Ruby. I know. I haven't been writing mucb lately. Good to hear from you.

LindaCPearson wrote on April 13, 2015, 7:24 PM

I am soft and gorgeous and adorable and all that and I never tire of hearing it!!! I hope you get a cat soon and I get to meet him or her.

My dearest Mildred the Beautiful,

I have been terribly busy of late at my taskmaster duties, especially today as my human keeps coming up with excuses that she needs to do everything except that horrid looming deadline thing US humans obsess so much about this time of year. I can't complain about it too much as I did get clean dishes out of it, and no doubt I would have had a nice long outside photo shoot if it hadn't been raining. But I personally don't see the advantage in cooking things I don't get to eat, folding clothes, checking Facebook, or watching Little House on the Prairie. I do have to grant her the excuse of doing things to earn money, but now she's blabbing to the government about it. This is one time of year I'm glad her name is on all my accounts instead of mine!

Excuse me now. I have to get off the couch and go remind her she's supposed to be adding up all the money I--I mean she--made last year.

Sincerely, Guiness the Cat

P.S. Please do overnight me some chicken as I'm quite bored with all the Friskies I have, and Debbi keeps insisting that we have to eat what's already paid for.

Hi Guiness - it's so good to hear from you. I understand what you're going through. My mom did all that government tax stuff a few weeks ago while moaning and groaning all through it. Every year she goes through the same moaning process. She does manage to keep up with my chicken and things like that so I won't complain too much. Humans seem to have lots of unpleasant things to do. I say - take a nap, eat some chicken, take another nap, have dinner, take another nap and then settle down for a comfy evening probably on my mom's bed. Keep up that routine and everything should work out just fine.

Dear Mildred,

Now that's the kind of plan that makes perfect sense to me. Why can't humans be as smart as cats?

Sincerely, Guiness the Perplexed

JohnRoberts wrote on April 14, 2015, 9:23 AM

Are you smarter than the average cat?

LindaCPearson wrote on April 14, 2015, 9:25 AM

In answer to your question, all cats are smart. I am exceptional, as is Guiness the Cat, who founded the Professional Cat Bloggers Association.

JohnRoberts wrote on April 14, 2015, 9:41 AM

The smartest cat I ever knew was Felix the Cat.

Mildred, you really are cute and remind me of Chuckie, my mom's favorite cat before she passed away.
