By in Persona Paper

At this rate, it will take me another 300 posts to redeem $20

I have written exactly 100 posts on Persona Paper and have $4.98 in the bank.

That's an average of about 5 cents per post.

That is not bad, considering the current management does not take into consideration organic views from my region.

So my earnings have been from internal views alone.

Given the minimum redemption amount of $20, I need another $15.

Since it took me 100 posts to get $5, it will take me another 300 posts to get $15 more, at the rate I am going.

Since I am submitting around 1 post a day, that's another 300 days for 300 posts.

Wow. Theoretically speaking, it is another 10 months before I can cash out? That's super long.

I will really have to work on commenting more to try and half that amount of time.

You will need an account to comment - feel free to register or login.

I do not know if you have other online prospects to earn good amounts and if so Persona may just about add up few cents a day. I do not consider this as a place to earn as it took me 9 months to earn 40 dollars. That is no income per se as I have spent more to work on Persona. For me this is a place to interact sharing news and views.

Either you write more or you comment more, unless you have a lot of time to do both.

Hopefully, you are able to write and/or comment more. I think that this might help your earnings.

Well, at least you're closer than me. I have about 50 cents right now, lol. Persona is fun though so it's okay.

It definitely does take a huge amount of effort and time. I most likely will never reach $20.

I think my heart just got sunk... hehehehe I hope miracle can happen, and I hope that we can all redeemed very soon, but what can I do? with a low rate and low internet speed and sometimes none at all... I can't keep up with my goals. And so to my goal redemption day! :(

I think as long as Mildred continues to get her chicken and treats, she shan't mind if you don't ;)

Even with your kind of commitment, it took you maybe 4.5 months to earn $20. If only I had more freelance assignments, I probably wouldn't be here as often.

Oh, I hope it doesn't take you that long. I think the more articles you have, the more you earn. However, I think that it would help to write a lot of articles that have good SEO so that you can organic views off the net from search engines. You can find out what people specifically want to read about by going to someplace like and looking at their list of "trending" topics. Personal articles are easier to write, but of course, you just get internal views for those.

300 days it is very long time. I think you should try to write two post in a day to reach on your goal.

Likewise, we don't get credited for outside views here in New Zealand. I try to make up for it by commenting twice as much. That definitely helps the coins build up.

valmnz wrote on April 9, 2015, 5:06 PM

AliCanary those of us living outside USA, UK don't get credited with organic views any more, so it isn't worth our time making our posts SEO friendly here.

AliCanary wrote on April 9, 2015, 6:45 PM

If I understand the terminology correctly, "organic" views are those that come in on their own, off the internet via search. They are actually the most likely to pay, provided the topic is appealing to people in North America and the UK. That's why I mentioned Yahoo, because they are tapped into the US market. Internal views also count, no matter who is viewing. The only things that wouldn't be helpful are shares on social media, presuming that most of your friends are outside the desired market, or writing on a topic in which we don't have interest.

AliCanary wrote on April 9, 2015, 6:51 PM

I don't think this is right, if you'll pardon me. I'm pretty sure they said we get credited any views that come from the US, UK, and Canada, no matter where you actually are writing FROM. The VIEWS from NZ wouldn't count, but YOU can certainly get views from the markets mentioned, unless I have completely misunderstood.

AliCanary wrote on April 9, 2015, 6:57 PM

...I just went back and read the "Changes" article from the front page, and here is a direct quote: "However, all public (non-member) traffic from any country outside of the US, UK and Canada will not contribute coins to the any user on the site." To me, that means that any writer who gets any traffic from those regions DOES get the coins, regardless of who you are and where you are.

Now I understand why you considered quitting, if you thought they weren't going to pay you based on your location. I'm quite sure it is based on the location of the views, not of the writer.

AliCanary thanks for clarifying that, yes, what you say does make sense.

SebastianOnciu wrote on April 10, 2015, 3:14 AM

Congratulations on reaching 100 posts and keep on posting and interacting. I am even further away from redemption, but I try not to think about it very often and focus on enjoying my Persona Paper experience instead.

AliCanary wrote on April 10, 2015, 5:21 AM

You are very welcome--I hope you feel better about it, now! If you go to that article and you go down in the comments a bit, Hollyhocks asked Will about whether she would get credited for views, as she was in Spain, and he essentially clarified it, there--that she would get coins for the views from the paying regions regardless of where she was located, herself (he said it better than I am reproducing it here!)

trufflehunter wrote on April 10, 2015, 6:18 AM

Thanks. I will try that.

Paulie wrote on April 11, 2015, 8:18 AM

I am in the same boat as you. Five cents per post without much commenting on other posts.

CalmGemini wrote on April 11, 2015, 1:57 PM

Do not lose heart.I for one is far away from redeeming.Keep going.Try to enjoy the writing and interaction.Wish you best of luck.
