Hmm...forgive me for being SO suspicious of this site

Well, there is another writing site that has just cropped up and I am wondering how long it will stay afloat.
My gut feeling is, not too long and there are several reasons for it. First, it seems to be that the owners/admins of this site are not really who they say they are. I got the invitation to join by email so I am quite sure that it is one of those sites which I have joined in the past either CGP Gallery or EV or Best Writers or whatever it wants to call itself nowadays .
The email was written in horrendous English and I cannot think a site originating from Australia sending emails with so many grammatical mistakes. See for yourself
KarelDekar.Com is an innovative online platform that connects peoples as well as writers from all around the world. Our Mission is to create a Great social platform for people where they can contribute creative and informative writings. Besides We want to offer a revenue sharing platform to the creative writers. We have many more for you all in futures.
Notice the capitals??
Writers from BestWriters and CGP Gallery are busy signing up and if those two sites caved under their weight, in I am not sure why they think this site will be different.
I am definitely not going to sign up and waste anymore of my time. I am curious, did anyone else get an email to join Kareldekar, Place of inspired blogging.

Good that you post this information so that everybody here have a knowledge about errors of that site.

There is no parameter to judge who is genuine and who is not. You have to take some kind of risk each time you want to join.

Even just getting an invitation email sounds very odd. Your address must have been gained from somewhere, and it´s likely to be a crashed sites records.

For now, I am sticking to ChatAbout which is proven to pay and to this site - Persona Paper - which looks promising enough.
trufflehunter wrote on April 8, 2015, 7:23 AM
Not at all. Their name sounds weird. Thanks for the red alert here!

Thanks for the heads up! All need to beware, it sounds like.

I think you are correct to be suspicious of this site. I just did a quick Google search for the office address and nothing showed? Did you check the 'whois'? IP is located in Atlanta Georgia and the Registrant seems to be in Bangladesh?

I am lucky not to have to depend on income from online writing, so I definitely would not be joining somewhere that asked with an email like that!
Arvi wrote on April 8, 2015, 8:23 AM
I didn't get an email, but that's ok. I think if they have to spam people's email boxes to get them to sign up, then it good to be cautious.
scheng1 wrote on April 8, 2015, 8:29 AM
This sounds like a site from Bangladesh. If it is backed by a billionaire, that will be a different story.
lookatdesktop wrote on April 8, 2015, 10:19 AM
Seems like it would be a waste of time to even bother going there. I haven't received any emails from these bogus reptiles.
OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on April 8, 2015, 10:25 AM
"Connects peoples as well as writers"? Writers aren't "peoples" now? I don't think I'll be joining any time soon.

Right in the middle of typing up comments and my computer froze. Anyway … like I was saying … not really interested in trying any more new writing sites. Need to “prove” the sites WHERE I'M AT. Been freelance writing since 2011. Finally revenue is being generated.

It is not only the capital but the whole content. If someone is to attract people to write at their site, there should be more formal, and don't use the word "beside" and "as well" to the part that is important and the main point of what you offer and benefits you want to give to your future bloggers or clients etc. God bless. Thank you for this!

Thank you for posting the information here so people can hopefully avoid any scams! They must have gotten your email from somewhere to send you an invite, sites like these never do that
WordChazer wrote on April 8, 2015, 2:23 PM
No, I didn't and if I did, I wouldn't join as I have no more time to spare. Bit of Googling suggests a lot of .cz sites with that name as well as a Costa Blanca connection to an Ing Karel Dekar. Your guess is as good as mine.

I'll definitely take a pass on this one. I've become skeptical like you.

I did get an email today. However, I deleted it. You know the old saying, Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I didn't bite at the chance.

They approached me through Google+. I have been added to their 'Family' circle and was invited to add them back. I didn't.

I often wonder just how many writng sites there are.
allen0187 wrote on April 8, 2015, 8:02 PM
It does look suspicious. I was never on either of the sites you mentioned so most likely, I won't get the email. Anyway, thanks for the heads up.
BeadDoodler wrote on April 9, 2015, 6:47 AM
I know many people jump on any site that offers any money at all, but I've always been very selective. I haven't received an invitation, but with the wording, by e mail probably dubbed it spam and I haven't really read much in my spam folder. If I don't recoginze the sender I just delete it.

Dawnwriter I know exactly what you mean about sites like those. I was on CGP and I had a funny feeling when I joined. I was only there a few weeks. I deleted all my content and had them delete my account. I do not see this other site lasting either. After reading one post from the support team there, they mention they do not pay users views, likes or comments form other members. Instead they pay for views from other outside sites. So, if that is the case, people will be posting their links all over Facebook, Google, Twitter and so on. And have their friends clicking and viewing their posts. And we know where that will lead, to the total destruction of the site.

Like many Bubblews writers I signed up for the other two mentioned, but never really contributed. I'm glad I found Persona Paper. Maybe, for those who are signing up, it's a case of trying to grab some quick money somewhere, somehow.
Debbie wrote on April 10, 2015, 6:34 PM
Gosh, by your title I thought you were writing about Persona Paper! I wouldn't join any new sites now at all which are setting up as writing sites as they all seem to be highly dodgy and if some of the previous sites are anything to go by, well, need I say more. I don't think so.
ViperGirl85 wrote on April 12, 2015, 3:18 PM
I received the email. I have to wonder if they found my email through CGP Gallery; weren't the emails public? They're suspended, but if they ever come back, I'll have to change that email to something I never use. I quit because they weren't paying anyways, so lol.
I'm not joining anymore of these writing websites unless they have been around for a while, paid multiple times and basically prove that they are reliable. I have other things going on, and I don't have the time to put into something that may not be reliable. I will bookmark it in case it does turn out to be a good thing, but for now I am sticking to Persona Paper and Bubblews (BB has always paid me), and I'm not bothering with the other sites right now.
cheri wrote on April 13, 2015, 12:09 AM
I have heard about a site that sounds like this one too. I am not sure if they are the same. I have not checked it out yet.
Ruby3881 wrote on May 12, 2015, 8:59 PM
There were several real scam sites earlier this year. So far, I think I've avoided all of the ones that were always going to be a flash in the pan because the owners were cheats. There are a couple that failed despite a decent start, and a couple more that disappointed fairly early on. But I don't think any were outright scams.
AudreyHowitt wrote on May 19, 2015, 6:49 PM
I haven't heard of them other than by virtue of your article--it is never a good sign when the grammar is poor!
JelWrites wrote on May 20, 2015, 11:29 PM
Thanks for this information, I have never heard of them and I will not be signing up even if I do get an invite. For me a good revenue share site does not have to pay a fortune, but offer the writer the ability to write as much as they want in order to build residual income over time. No matter which site you join, this takes time. I kind of had this at Bubblews and I was one of the lucky ones who received their final payments. Having said that, they still owe me around $70 from 2013. I don't stand a chance of receiving this. I like this site because many of my friends are here and it is fun reading the articles and connecting with people. This is what I miss about Bubblews. I still have an account there and I check in and read from time to time, however most of my friends have moved on.
KristinRavelle wrote on May 23, 2015, 8:08 PM
I haven't heard of that one yet, but it seems that every time I do any research, I find more sites I've never heard of. Big internet world out there.
MelissaE wrote on May 25, 2015, 9:35 PM
It is so difficult to know what are great sites and which ones are not.
valmnz wrote on May 26, 2015, 6:39 PM
I have enough trouble keeping up with the two sites I do belong to! What amuses me is that new so called entrepreneurs think they can make money from sites such as these.
HappyLady wrote on June 3, 2015, 9:15 AM
Sigh. It is getting boring now with people jumping on the bandwagon because they don't realise what is really involved in making a site good. The good sites stick out a mile.
