Eyeing More Vacation Spots

I must admit coming from two straight vacations I'm still itching to go on yet another vacation. Which I will do this coming week. April 9 is a holiday here in Manila (Day of Valor) and I'm going on a short vacation to one of the beaches down south. It is one of those vacations that came out of the blue. Actually, planned it during my first vacation this summer. No, i haven't written about that yet unlike the last vacation I had at . In case you haven't read about that... nah, I ain't going that route, I've mentioned that vacation far too many times already. You might be sick of hearing and reading about it. LOL!

Anyway, for those local PPers or those who have plans of visiting the Philippines in the near future, here are a couple of possible vacation spots for you.

The first is Caramoan Island in Camarines Sur. You want to hear a good reason why you need to go there - one word - Survivor!.The show Survivor taped back to back seasons there. Enough said. If Survivor thinks the place is good enough to shoot not one but two seasons then the place is surely worth a visit. Have you ever thought of visiting a place because your favorite show featured it? Tell me about it in the comments.

The second one is an off-center choice. Not as popular as other obvious vacation spots but this one is really nice. Read some good reviews about Lawiswis Kawayan Resort. It is located in Calumpit, Bulacan. I saw an article in one of the daily broadsheets and visited the resort's website. I think for the prices that they posted for the services and amenities that they offer, the price is well worth it. I'm booking my trip to the place by the 3rd week of April.

When picking out vacation spots, do you follow the crowd towards the popular spots or do you take the unknown path and check out possible diamonds in the rough?

If you live in Singapore, you can go to the travel fairs, where hundred of travel agencies have booths to promote vacation destinations.

Hi &AbbyG , yup, those off center tourist spots are hidden gems. I look for a lot of those types of places as well.

There are travel fairs here in Manila. I attended one last DEcember. Managed to cop season tickets to a museum. That was it. The other offers didn't really interests me.

We just came back from a beach resort in Morong, Bataan and now thinking of where to go next. Let’s enjoy the summer.
