And now I need to type at the speed of the wind which has been battering us

Having been without internet access since this morning, I now need to type at the speed of the wind which caused the outage in order to finish an article to deadline.
It's about an internet advertising agency, so it's not exactly off-topic for posting here, which is what I'll be doing as soon as the article is written. However, we have also been experiencing an epidemic of Things Refusing to Just Work here in the last 24, with my year-old Samsung phone deciding to transform itself into a purple colored brick and Mr Chazer's prized Macbook not playing ball with the internet connection once restored.
Needless to say, neither of us is currently very happy, and much wine is being drunk for damage limitation reasons.
All bets are off as to how much sense the ensuing article will make...

A power outage by the wind? Truly a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) is getting to be a necessity.

You have not experienced internet in the UK...it is subject to The Weather, truly. My article is coming along well, and Mr Chazer is now back online quite happily.

Amazing how the fruit of the vine can put a whole new perspective on things!

Actually, it's not helping the creative processes tonight, regrettably. Usually does, but not tonight, it seems. Body, mind and compulsion are not in synch.

In the process of making sure I am caught up, although the article is now late, through no fault of mine. I have been trying to connect all day.

Fortunately our cable Internet connection is not subject to that much interference from weather, unless a power pole is blown over.

Not many people can type fast. Hope you manage to meet that deadline and remember to save the document at regular invervals!

The UK's internet access is really rather poor at times, and I often wonder whether the so called third-world countries had the better idea when they skipped landline access altogether and went straight to mobile and satellite access.

Thanks for the timely reminder. Having had a few hours' sleep I discovered several glaring errors in the piece this morning, which I have now corrected.
