Do You Have Pets?
I was in a good mood this morning. After a while I decided to check out if the post had arrived. It had, and as I sat down with my drink I opened the letter,it was a large one. I was shocked by the contents!It was from 'PETA' 'People for the ethical treatment of animals'.
They asked me to fill in a survey which I quickly did. I then read the two pages of writing which were so desperate! The situation was unravelled of how pets are taken from their homes, and without going into any of the disgustingly cruel actions which they then suffer from,I will just say
their fur is used for clothing that is bought by 'People'. Sorry to upset you but the situation won't change if the truth is kept hidden.
I have only given a fraction of the suffering that our pets go through by these inhumans. I hope you will have the courage to go to their website and help'PETA'

It is horrifying what some people will do for a few quid, even snatching dogs from their own gardens to use as 'practice' against fighting dogs like Pit Bulls - and this happens in so-called civilised countries like ours! I will certain visit PETA's site.

Hello Kasman , the stuff I read this morning took me back to a TV doc. I saw many years ago and how horrifying it was. Fighting dogs is atrocious but this fur thing is the worst thing I have ever come across,thanks for comment..

I dont have pets. Sadly I wish I did. I lost too many cats on the busy road I live on due to ignorant motorists.

PETA has been known to take animals saying they will find them loving homes, just to turn around and kill them the same day. Also majority of the money goes into the head peoples pockets not to helping any animals. Please research them. One state even has them up on charges for their actions

I cannot imagine the heart pain of their owners to see the dear pets end up as fur for buyers.

I no longer trust charities with cash....preferring to donate food/bedding to local shelters or adopting animals themselves in the past...

I once saw a video of someone plucking hair from a rabbit for clothing and it was horrific and haunted me for months, how can anyone be so cruel. I do agree that animal charities are big business though and a lot of what we donate in good faith is only used to line the pockets of the MD´s etc. It´s hard to know what to do, give money or help animals in other ways.

I am not really championing PETA . I am more upset at what is happening to the animals that are stolen from our streets and caged and taken to China to be ...........I personally don't believe in charities,I don't class the little animal refuge's as charities. People should be warned about buying clothes with fur,even if they say it isn't fur.

There are very few charities that are trustworthy,if any. If they want to do good then why pay big wages to committees,it isn't necessary..

I've read and heard horror stories of animal cruelty. Here in our country, dogs are snatched and butchered and their meat sold at markets. So sad really.
I've heard about PETA and their advocacy. i will surely visit their site. About yoru question about pets, I've had a couple dogs, cats, a monitor lizard, and an albino python at one time or another.

My friend has those as well,she also has a large spider.
