Journal 03-26-2015

Good morning or whatever part of the day it is for you. Today is Thursday March 26, 2015. The temperature is 56.2°F and the humidity is 70% at 5:24 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 with gusts of 0.7 mph. The sky was clear when I stuck my head out. Saw the Big Dipper. Heard the neighbor’s sprinklers. Weather Underground is predicting a 0% chance of precipitation and a high of 93 today. Oh, extra special joy.
We went with friends to an arboretum yesterday that is part of a university I went to when I studied journalism back in the day. The whole campus has changed so much. It was a nice, if warm, walk. The friend s had never been, indeed had never heard of it, despite having lived in the area for decades. It is also the site where an ex-friend was married. I pointed that out to them. It is quite nice. Mr. Siduri and I briefly considered getting married there, but they don’t open the site up until April.
These were the friends who had done the photography during our wedding, so there was a lot of picture swapping. I’m amazed at what I don’t remember. I really regret letting myself get so stressed out. This is something I could have (and should have!) enjoyed.
The last of the thank you notes are going in the mail today.
Much to my chagrin, after reading my novel yesterday, I find bits of it that are boring. I’m so disappointed. That means some serious rewriting (again.) So I’m off to make those passages better.
The hour of 6 a.m., Siegfried time, is quickly approaching.
Thanks for reading. Hope you are yours are all happy and healthy. Hope the day brings you good things.
Writing schedule:
1. Continue Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil .
2. Review sci-fi story
3. Read and review a creepy crawly story
4. Read and review S&N “Awakening”
5. Rework passages on Siegfried’s early childhood so they’re no boring.

That is the hard part of being a writer... we are the worst critic of our own novels... hehehe so we re-write it often. Upon reading this post, I notice that you said "Mr. Siduri", means you are the wife,a nd you are sharing the same account, if I am not mistaken ... then that is so sweet. God bless.

I hope I'm the worst critic. That means, when other people read it, they will enjoy it. I hope. About Mr. Siduri... M(arie) Siduri is a screen name I've been using since about 1997 at an ancient history site. Mr. Siduri is the nickname I gave the guy was first my boyfriend and is now my husband. He doesn't write at PP, though.
