Silence (Short Story)

Nothing but silence surrounded her, but the young woman wasn´t scared of that total absence of sound. She was happy because, for the first time ona while, she had a little bit of time just for herself. There was no more noise that tried to fill her mind with all kind of dark thoughts. Such a gentle sensation began warming up every single inch of her tired body. Clarity, peace and serenity… now her soul was at peace with every single thing that surrounded her. It was safe to say that those long days of living in the shadows of pain soon would fade into nothing but a little pile of dust. A new day, filled with hope, was waiting for her.

That was cool, but for me it is like she died for a moment, or she really died and start her new day in a new world. Heheheh... God bless. I hope when you write another story -- the real one, I hope that it will be as calm as this and with a happy ending of course. God bless the works of your hands. TO Jesus be the glory. Aja!

In this day and age, silence is truly golden! I find myself looking for that one spot when I can only hear my breathing and own thoughts.
