Journal 03-25-2015

Good morning or whatever part of the day it is for you. Today is Wednesday March 25, 2015. The temperature is 55.9°F and the humidity is 80% at 5:25 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 with gusts of 0 mph. The sky was clear when I stuck my head out. Saw the Big Dipper. Weather Underground is predicting a 0% chance of precipitation and a high of 88 today. Oh, joy.

Most of yesterday was spent running errands. I have most of the thank you notes from the wedding sent. I just ran out of steam yesterday morning. Only a few remain and I can easily finish them this morning. I’m not sure what the etiquette people say about how quickly thank you notes should be sent, but I imagine within a week of the wedding is adequate.

We have plans today to go to an arboretum with friends. This friend did the photography at the wedding so there will be a lot of swapping of pictures. Mr. Siduri also wants to try out his new digital stereo camera so there will be a lot of snapping of pictures. It should be a pleasant, if warm, day.

I’ve decided to try to work on the much-neglected novel for an hour starting at 6 o’clock every morning as much as time permits. Granted, an hour isn’t much, but it’s more than I’ve been working on it for some time. Mr. Siduri is usually up around 7, so that gives me time to concentrate.

Mr. Siduri went to redeem a gift card he got for Christmas and buy a couple of T-shirts. While he was trying some on and I was flipping through the racks looking for other possible candidates for him, a salesclerk walked up to me and asked if she could help me find anything. I said no, that I was just waiting on my…husband in the dressing room. It sounded strange in my ears.

The hour of 6 a.m., Siegfried time, is quickly approaching.

Thanks for reading. Hope you and yours are all well and happy. Hope the day brings you good things.

Writing schedule:

1. Continue Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil .

2. Review sci-fi story

3. Read and review a creepy crawly story

4. Read and review S&N “Awakening”

5. Spend an hour w/Siegfried

You say "review Sci-fi story", When you write a review, have you already decided which story you are reviewing or you read one and then review it.This is no big deal but I am just curious.I think if you and your husband go out like this together and then you will get used to saying 'my husband'.

If your novel is much neglected, you should see my nearly abandoned screenplay. I only have a partial sequence written, a sequence I started doing when I bought the script formatting software in 2009 and put aside when Mom's health plummeted the following year.

There's a bunch that I've already read. I've also been reworking a bunch that were once posted on the Site That Cannot Be Named. Yes, it will take me a little while to get used to calling my husband, but I kind of like the sound of it.

I'm just reading through it for the first time in a long time. Boy, I'm going to have to rewrite whole passages. As they stand, they're BORING, the one unforgiveable sin. Maybe the neglect served a purpose, but, boy, does it hurt reading it now.

My daughter was home sick today. The weather was not that great here. It was 39F and it was rainy.
