Boxing Later in the Afternoon
Later in the afternoon, I'll be scooting to the boxing gym to work out. Been boxing for more than a year now. I usually box four to five times a week. It is a good exercise. It is a total body work out... cardio, strength, mental discipline, eye-hand-body coordination... you name it, boxing has a way to develop it. Of course, I won't be boxing professionally. I do it to be physically and mentally fit. Although, the thoughts that enter my mind when training in the gym. God forbid!!!
Wanted to share what my boxing session look like. Looking to get tips from other boxers out here in Persona Paper. I start with some stretching. Neck, shoulders, hips, back, legs, knees, wrists, and ankles. Then I do a four exercise or five exercise Torcher. These are exercise that I do continuously like that in a circuit training, for three rounds. The exercises that I do cover the core, upper body strength, lower body strength, mobility, and whole body strength. 50-second work and 10-second rest for each exercise. Whole thing takes 12 to 15 minutes depending on the number of exercises that I do. That's my warm-up.
I tend get my hand wrapped and proceed to do three rounds on the speed ball. Three rounds of mitt work with my trainer and I then proceed to work on the punching bags and then work on the hanging balls. Another three rounds of mitt work follow. I then do some ab exercises. Eight exercises that I do for 50 seconds straight with a 10-second rest in between.
I rest and then I hit the showers.
Like what I wrote earlier, any tips to improve one's boxing is much appreciated.
