Regret not making more money

Many speculators lose money in the stock market, and they are bitter about it.

Many good investors have the problem of selling their winners too early, and they regret not making more money.

A few years ago, when I started to trade in the stock market, I did not know much about real investing.

Real investing is to buy great companies at low price, and get paid from dividend every year.

I have many such regrets too.

One is Singapore Press Holdings. It is a monopoly in Singapore, and the sales of newspapers and magazines are extremely profitable.

I sold off to lock in profits for a few cents increase in share price. I was happy with a couple of hundred dollars of profits.

Later on, Singapore Press Holdings spun off its shopping centers into a REIT, and rewarded the shareholders handsomely.

If I had held on to it long, I would have recouped half my capital throughout the years. I do not need to sell to make a profit.

That is what one goes through in the share market. You must develop a culture that is devoid of regrets.

I hope you can find another investment company so you can have a chance to get a great profit that hopefully will earn yearly or on how does it rolls. God bless. I have no knowledge about it and no capital for it either. God bless.
