Spring? Oh yeah!

http://www.ForestWander.comSpring is really springing up around here on the mountain, which really surprises me. The snow had been on the ground for almost two straight months and I was beginning to despair of ever seeing green grass again. I even asked my husband to buy some green spray paint to color the snow, all 2 acres of it, but he declined. He said he didn't want our cats and pup wearing green socks, plus when the melting began, he didn't relish rivets of green slush swirling through the yards. I said it would look quite festive, what with St. Patrick's Day coming up. Geesh. Sometimes he can be such a spoilsport. It's all good now, though. Last week the temps. were high enough to melt all the snow, and at last I could see we really did still have grass underneath it. This past Monday a flock of robins had their "meet & greet" in our side yard, and I'm seeing the leaves of irises and buds of daffodils. Spring. Oh yeah.

Fortunately your husband has the good sense not to listen to you, else you will miss out on the budding flowers.

What a gorgeous picture of daffodils, don´t want to be picky, but can´t find a credit and it might get you a telling off from the site, hope you don´t mind me mentioning it I hope your spring doesn´t turn tail and run away, it seems to have been a long long winter this year for sure.

Glad to hear the weather is improving for you too. I agree the green slush would have been festive.
