Headphones Plugged In; World Tuned Out

Hey there, everyone! What are you all up to? I’m just chilling, off babysitting duty, listening to my headphones as I work. Sometimes putting on some music with headphones allows me to isolate myself without actually leaving the room. I can drown out the world around me and just get right down to work.

The playlists on my MP3 player are almost funny because I don’t stick to just one type of music. The first thing I listened to was my Michael Jackson playlist, before heading over to my Meat Loaf playlists. Now I’m listening to my 1990s/2000s playlist (because I couldn’t come up with a better name for that playlist haha). It has ‘N Sync, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, Spice Girls, Britney, Christina, NKOTB and just a bunch of other stuff that may fit that playlist.

What will I listen to next? Could it be my classic rock playlist, which includes The Beatles, Doors and Pink Floyd? Maybe it will be my rock playlist, which includes Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy and Godsmack. Hey, it could be my playlist of wrestling themes, Disney songs or The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack, or one of my other playlists. Yep, I have a little bit of everything on here haha. And maybe I got some of the genres wrong but I don’t care, as long as -I- can find the songs I want to listen to lol.

Do you stick with just one or two genres, or are you like me and would prefer a bit of variety?

Alrighty, I will stop boring you all with my music and playlists...but I also have work to finish because I’m NOT staying up super late tonight. This girl needs a decent night’s sleep. You all have a good day and take care.

My iPod has 8,000 songs, ranging from Abba to ZZ Top. The largest playlist is country (REAL country, the kind everyone who claims to love country music hates -- over 5,000 songs). I don't have a very wide range (no opera -- the only opera I ever liked was "The Mikado"), but there's a wide variety within what I do like.

I'm going to sound like such a prude, but I don't really like music. It distracts me. If I do listen to music, it is for relaxing, yoga, or meditation.

Oh wow, I wish my MP3 player held 8,000 songs, but I would probably never fill it up lol. It's 8GB though so I have enough room. I have several genres on it, but not all of them. But it ranges from pop to oldies to rock to wrestling to old school Disney haha.

You don't sound like a prude at all! Not everyone likes the same thing, including music, and there is nothing wrong with it. :)
