Whew! Thought I Was Kicked Out!

Whew! I thought I was kicked out of the neighborhood! I hadn't been able to type, write or whatever requires the use of my trusty right hand due to major surgery on it and the wrist. It's been horrid and boring and I despise being still held prisoner in my cast. My second. The first was a lovely shade of purple, and since I was unpleasantly surprised to learn that one would be removed, only to be replaced by another, I chose a bright red to display my deep displeasure, lol. Well, if nothing else, it sure draws attention.

So since I've had some practice using my left hand at the keyboard, I beg of you to kindly forgive any mistakes. While others are able to use their non-dominant hands for simple tasks, mine has always been a lagger, so to speak.

Anyway, I plan to be active again in our community, so please give me some time to get caught up. I do hope all have been well and racking up the coins!

Welcome back. It's amazing just how much we take our abilities and body for granted until we lose the use of something. Hope all is going well and your hand is back to normal soon.

It's really good to see that you're back. Hope that you heal up completely. I'm trying to be more active around these parts as well.

Hope you are healed up soon, at least you get to choose nice colors for the cast

Oh yes. I've been in that exact situation before when I broke my right wrist.

At first I wasn't sure what you meant. You'll be back full force, doubtless.

Welcome back again! Hehehehe... always keep safe. It is okay if you can use one of your hands only, it does not count , Lol! as long as you can share a lot and a lot of good things and bad things from where we can learn and influence to move forward. God bless.

I do hope you are healing well. I think hurting an arm or hand is every writer's nightmare.

Glad to know that you're doing better now. Well, nothing much has happened nor changed here in PP but another active member sure would help a lot in boosting the activities we have here. :)

Thanks, Meg. Thursday I see the surgeon again and hope the cast STAYS off! I was told all that was done will take 6-12 months to heal completely

Thanks for the welcome! Good to meet another neighbor!

McIntire wrote on March 21, 2015, 10:06 AM

Yeah, I wanted shocking pink the last time but they were all out, lol

scheng1 wrote on March 21, 2015, 10:07 AM

I hope you can recover soon. Perhaps you should wait till the cast is off before you start to get active again.

McIntire wrote on March 21, 2015, 10:08 AM

Aggravating, isn't it?! I have so many things I want to do and can't. Bah!

McIntire wrote on March 21, 2015, 10:11 AM

The following or stalking? haha, eye wink I'm trying. Had a bit of trouble logging on yesterday but all seems fine today.

McIntire wrote on March 21, 2015, 10:22 AM

Hi there, thanks for the kind words. I just need to keep busy, and between my surgeon and my husband, it's nearly impossible, lol!

McIntire wrote on March 21, 2015, 10:28 AM

Thanks for stopping by. There are a few changes, like the ads speaking to me, lol!

McIntire wrote on March 21, 2015, 10:30 AM

Well, it'll be a long while until I can do many things I use to, but the bottom line is that eventually, things will be better and I'll have less pain.

scheng1 wrote on March 21, 2015, 10:33 AM

Yes, you just have to be patient. I hope you can fully recover soon.
