Another Weekend Flew By

In fact, this weekend flew by so fast I thought today was Tuesday, not Monday. Maybe my mind is programmed to skip Mondays. Or maybe I hurt so badly while trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in that I wanted it to be Tuesday so I could start physical therapy for my bum knee. I don't dare walk much anymore until the knee is evaluated tomorrow.

I was responding to a blog post someone wrote about her weekend this morning before I discovered this was really Monday. She asked what we did this weekend and I couldn't remember. I actually had to look at my iPhoto page to see where I was and what I did. I couldn't find Monday and then it hit me it hadn't passed. Part of the problem may be that I received a rush order yesterday, so I went to the other house to process it last night and then worked on my website for a couple of hours to add some new affiliates. As luck would have it, the internet connection died just as I finished saving and was starting to upload. Fortunately it came back in time for me to finish the job there instead of having to do it here.

I mostly sat at a computer all weekend except when preparing food. The one fun thing I did was to explore a new back road on the way home, but I was wearing a different pair of shoes than usual and I couldn't walk far. I think I paid all night for wearing the wrong pair of shoes that used to fit quite well. As I drove into my driveway, I saw my first deer of the season grazing on our property. If you want to make the photo of it larger, just open it in a new tab.

How was your weekend?

BarbRad you have to take care of yourself, don't get injured! Hope your PT goes well. It certainly looks like your weekend was a productive one, mine was spent mostly outdoors with friends having lunch and chatting, we took the kids to a playground, etc. Family time and away from the computer.

Now that I have fewer piano students than ever, the only way I can keep up with what day it is (without looking at my phone) is by church days. The other week when church was canceled on Wednesday night because of winter weather (was it really that short a time ago???), I stayed confused until Sunday.

Hope the therapy for the knee helps BarbRad . Not much happened in the weekend for me. Looking forward to this weekend though because I'm attending a wedding.

Hope you feel better soon. And that is a great picture of the deer grazing. I miss ours, have not seen them for a few months

Sounds like you enjoyed your weekend more than did mine, and you did something really important. All I did was work.

BarbRad wrote on March 17, 2015, 1:22 AM

I can understand that. I have to refer to my photos and my paper calendar.

BarbRad wrote on March 17, 2015, 1:22 AM

Have a wonderful time at the wedding.

BarbRad wrote on March 17, 2015, 1:23 AM

I only saw the one. Last year we had a small herd.

I know I will as I'm not part of the entourage and more importantly, I ain't the groom. LOL!

Thank you. I really need prayer tonight that I might be able to sleep. Bedtime seems like the door to torture right now, since I only seem to be in great pain when I'm in bed.

BarbRad Yes, spending time with family is very important for me, but you did make progress in your projects, so that is rewarding too!

I''m trying to remember back that far!! I worked a few hours Saturday at a friend's store, had a nice visit with my friend, spent a rather quiet Sunday, worked very hard all day Monday and here it is Tuesday already. The time sure does fly by these days. It's almost frightening!

Wow that was cool! there is a deer in your neighborhood... Hehehehe.. but I can get what you are saying here, I also experience that , when something's wrong with my body specially when I am about to have a fever, I can't sleep and can't remember what happen last week.. or maybe I am not really in a good condition that I an only focus on my soaring pain. Hope you get better and better... complete and quick recovery for you in Jesus name, Amen.

BarbRad wrote on March 23, 2015, 10:15 PM

Oh, no. I don't breed breed the deer. They do that all by themselves. They are trespassers who steal my produce and eat anything they like, whether I want them to have it or not.

BarbRad wrote on March 24, 2015, 2:32 AM

Sounds like that was time well spent.

BarbRad wrote on March 24, 2015, 2:33 AM

You're right about that. So much to do, so little time.

BarbRad wrote on March 24, 2015, 2:34 AM

I start physical therapy tomorrow at 12:45. I must remember. I will leave a note on my computer monitor.

BarbRad wrote on March 24, 2015, 2:36 AM

Amen. I'm hoping that Jesus will bless the hands of the physical therapist I will see tomorrow, too, and give her wisdom.
