Countries Most Worried About the Future

Sharing this historical marker: 3 years ago Fox Business News RE-reported content published by 24/7 Wall St , that the 11 countries listed below were very “pessimistic” about their future. Each country's “doom and gloom fears” were connected to their economy, except Japan and Syria.
In March 2011, Japan was hit by an earthquake which resulted in the disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
Syria? Anybody who listens to the news knows this country's “problems”.
The report was dated 2012. It's 2015 and a quick glance of news reported within the past 24 hours regarding these places does not show that there has not been a dramatic “things are looking up!” change in the course of their daily lives.
Can anyone offer these people any comforting words?
How about this?
At least y'all still on a map. Whole nations and civilizations have been known to vanish! Nobody has ever found Ophir or Atlantis !
1. Greece
3. Syria
4. Portugal
5. Slovenia
6. Japan
7. Hungary
8. Singapore
9. Cyprus
10. Malta
11. Mauritius

I guess not much has changed after a couple of years. Different year, same problems! I'm not surprised that the Philippines isn't included as we are one of the most optimistic countries in the world... too optimistic for our own good really! Blah!

The beauty of living in America is you never have to travel to meet people from other countries. So many people are from other countries and you get the opportunity to meet and make friends. I have had very pleasant experiences with people from the Philippines that I've met in person and/or in cyberspace. :)

That's nice to hear cmoneyspinner . Filipinos travel the world to seek opportunities not available here in our own country.

I hope they all do fine in the future... Philippines I guess is the most optimistic one, because we always depends all our stress and anxiety to God. Our parents always taught us to live everything to God and combat our battle with prayers and faith in Jesus Christ.

My country, Singapore, is in the list! That is a good sign. if we are worried enough about the future, we can keep our wealth for a long time.

Somehow Japan will survive. They survived an atomic bomb. Some are troubled because of politics, some because the Soviet Union no longer props them up and some like Malta just don't have much but tourism which is down.

Was rather surprised to see Singapore on the list. Never heard any really awful news reports, so thought your country was OK.

RE: Japan. Yeah I hear you on that! But maybe that's what is worrying them. They're thinking – 'First, an atomic bomb and now this! We may live through these disasters but will we have our health to be able enjoy surviving?'
