Mildred the Cat - a new cat next door?

Howdy everybody. How ya all doin’? I’m great, even a bit excited.

It finally stopped snowing around here for a few days. The three feet of snow has melted down to about two feet and I think I spotted something exciting next door yesterday. I saw a black tail before it darted behind a car parked in the driveway. My mom saw it too.

I think the tail was attached to a real cat. My mom thinks so too. My mom is now very worried about this. She says it’s much too dangerous for a cat to be outside on our street. We have a lot of fast traffic and it’s not safe for anyone, human or feline. She has now added the mystery cat’s welfare to her worry list. That list is several pages long and doesn’t need any more add-ons.

I’m also worried for the cat I guess, but I’m also excited. Not much exciting ever happens around here and I am in dire need of some excitement. Even my mom, dear mom that she is, is getting less and less exciting every day. Please don’t tell her I said that or I might lose my chicken treats.

I would love a feline neighbor. There are three cats that live next door on the other side and also a dog, but since they are all kept inside like I am, I never get to see them. I wonder if the new cat is male or female.

Don’t worry, Guiness, Most Handsome of Cats ( OldRoadsOnceTraveled ), I would never cheat on you, even if the cat turns out to be male and does live right next door. Since I’m never ever allowed outside, at the very most we would only become window buddies.

Well, it’s time to check out the kitchen and see what’s for dinner. Have a great evening everybody.

Till next time,

Purrs, paws and high fives.

I know spring is coming because I did see a brief glimpse of a tail of our neighbors cat , I don't usually see him in the winter. Course Jimmy's favorite past time is teasing my dog, but that's another story.

I hope you will get to see your neighbor soon. Even if it's just through a window. :)

Hope you get outside and get to spend some time with the other cats. Also, hopefully, the lone dog chases all of you cats away! LOL!

My Dear Sweet Gorgeous Mildred,

Whew! I was getting pretty jealous there for a minute. Thanks for clearing that up.

The traffic is a concern, but I would have more issue with all that horrid wet white stuff! How does your Outside contain that much frozen stuff all piled up like that? It's mind-boggling. I've never seen frozen white stuff more than a few inches deep, and that only lasted two or three days.

Sincerely, Guiness the Fuzzy Purring Knight in Shining Armor

Hahahahah! But what if one day your mom allowed you to get out of the house and accidentally stumble of that cat that might happen to be a male cat... Just kidding! Enjoy the whole Spring. God bless.
