My family requested me to go to their province this coming vacation
Early this morning. I do not know how to react because my wife had spoken that my children wanted to have a vacation this summer vacation. That will be a month to go. I said to my wife, I do have a work even summer. And my eldest said, only the three of them. No need to include myself. Their wanted vacation is in the province of my wife. That will be 23 hours boat ride or 30 minutes using airplane. I do not know if I can manage the finances for their fare and allowances. As of this moment no idea how much it will cost for my wife and my two sons. Hoping I can manage it later and I will handle their request. My eldest son just told, they will go back before the next school year starts.

Sometimes you will just have to be honest and explain the situation to the kids. You will be surprised how much kids will understand the issue of finance and be willing to switch to an alternative plan. Am surprised that your wife is not aware of your finance issues.

She is aware of my finance issues, she is only saying about the request of my kids.

your wife should at least discuss with you about her trip. The expenses and how to go vacation together, not leaving you behind.
