Tips On How To Have A Perfect Shave - TUTORIALS Category Challenge

I would occasionally rock a full beard with matching goatee but since I've grown tired of the look, I've been shaving like crazy this past month. I also sport a bald 'do and I do the shaving myself so I think I can qualify as an 'expert' in doing a perfect shave. Here you go gents... tips on how to have that perfect shave:
*Make sure you moisten your beard with hot water. Hence it is ideal to shave after you shower. Shaving pre-shower is good as well, provided you prep yourself well.
*Once your beard are softened by the moisture, massage the area that you'll be shaving with a good amount of shaving cream. Shaving gels work fine as well. I have no preference between a shaving cream and a shaving gel. However, if you do fine a brand that works well with your skin type, it is best to stick to it.
*Apply light pressure when you start to shave. It is best to shave along the grain first as this minimizes nicks, cuts, and irritation. Apply a second coat of shaving cream or shaving gel and then shave opposite the grain for a closer shave. Afterwards, rinse with cold water to close the pores.
*Pat yourself dry and apply an aftershave balm. This will retain moisture and soothe your skin.
That's about it. Hope this step by step guide to a perfect shave helps!
