International Women's Day

Today March 8th, is International Women's Day . This holiday was first observed in 1909. This is a day set aside to celebrate the economic, social and political achievements of women around the globe. You can find a list of events, on the website, by clicking on the link. I had not even heard of this holiday until today. While the sentiment is admirable, I believe the best way to celebrate the achievements of the fairer sex, is to pay attention to all that women do today that they once were unable to. Let's celebrate and respect women every day of the year. Because there is a special day however, you can use it to highlight achievements of females in your life, aswell as around the world.
