been grinding at online poker for the past three months and now i feel like i have developed and improved my game, i'm going to join a poker tournament being sponsored by one of the bigger casinos here in our city. i'm really excited about it. i feel i can already adapt what i've learned from playing online poker for the good part of the year. actually started playing and learning poker again last december. skipped a good part of our company's christmas party to play poker at a nearby poker joint. since then, i've been playing poker for small stakes at the same place every other weekend. been staging poker night-outs with a couple of my buddies. playing at least twice a week with friends and friends of friends again for small stakes. of course, every free time i got, early evenings, very late evenings, and up to the very early mornings, i would be hunched in my laptop and play online poker with complete strangers. i also visited poker forums and read books about the game to gain more knowledge. of course, i believe that experience is the best teacher so i still kept playing in live poker matches. anyway, during the past months, i was able to set aside some funds to bankroll this new endeavor of mine.
so my fellow PPers, care to share your experiences when playing poker in a live tournaments? care to share some tips? do i play aggressively and try to steal some of the chips pre-flop? do i play tight and pick my spots?
looking forward to everyone's insights cheers and happy weekend everyone!!!
