I Know All the Words to This Song, Do You?

I made my living for about a decade as a singer and musician from my mid-20s to my mid-30s. I was a Navy musician, so it was not like being a rock singer in a band with other musicians people found a common interest. We each had to perform in a variety of bands with an extensive audience.
I would not trade that decade for anything, because I learned so much. I also enjoyed it tremendously, whether singing the National Anthem a capella at a Major League Baseball game, playing steel drums at the Kentucky Derby, singing a Pat Benetar or Gloria Estefan song at a high school assembly to support the recruiting district, or playing cymbals or bass drum at a ceremony for Pope John Paul II or Presidents and Vice-Presidents.
My favorite gigs, however, were working with a trio or quartet. I had many opportunities to do that and one of my favorite songs was Twisted , written by Annie Ross, of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross.
Straight-ahead blues progression, the words were what appealed to me, and there were many of them to remember. Fun, playful, and quirky, it told a story.
Perhaps, it was because I am, too, just a bit twisted.

I don't think I've known all the words to any song since my school days and the songs we were forced to sing. I can sing plenty of choruses, or first couple of lines though

Navy bands had a following when I was near Washington, because they played for free...guess what the attraction on most of my non-church-event "dates" used to be?
