A Quick Cup of Coffee Before I Get Ready for Work

It has been nearly 24 hours since I was last online, so I thought I would share my coffee and a few minutes with you, my Persona Peeps.
I just learned that I am not a member of FOPP since reading the new mayor's post. I never realized that there was a membership. I remember awhile back asking what FOPP meant and I was told what the acronym represented, but not the "rules." I have tagged some of my articles not knowing that it was a "club," of sorts.
I also noticed that there are members on the list whose names I recognize that I know have not been in compliance, so I shouldn't feel like I am a rule-breaker, any more than they are.
I recognize that I really have some issues surrounding the whole idea of "RULES." I grew up as the eldest child in a very critical family and, of course, it affected my viewpoint. I also joined the military, and found similar expectations.
So, my entire life I have struggled with a sense of "belonging." I have also struggled with dogma.
It strikes me as funny that, at nearly 60 years old, I would even ponder such things.

I have heard about this "club" also....however, like most things in my life, I just don't want to join. I'm happy to post and comment, but I don't want the rules to impede what I do.

I would join FOPP if my schedule wasn't so unstable/unpredictable. So...I won't join.

The nice thing about rules is there is always an exception to the rule ,,,so I just ignore them,,lol

#FOPP isn't a club but a challenge. The founder is among the missing and we don't know why. We suspect he may be ill and can't spend time at a computer, since I don't see him online anywhere else anymore, either. We hope he'll be back someday, and as far as I know he still logs in at least once a month, usually on Sunday afternoons. It began as an effort to rally the supporters of this wonderful site to remain active and help it succeed. But life has intervened for some of the original members and they can no longer do all they were challenged to do. Still, though, we try to do what we can. But somehow without Jason among us leading the charge, it seems to be winding down. There are no "rules" -- just goals. And you don't have to go through an acceptance and get on an official list to be part of it. It's more like a PP Booster Club if it's a club at all, team spirit, if you will.

Well said, BarbRad .

I have never once fully met any of the "rules", and I know that I am not alone in that. But that really isn't the point. The point is to participate and to do what you can, as you can. They're not "rules" so much as they are challenges to help you maximize your PersonaPaper experience.

I did join FOPP a short time ago, but i'm afraid I'm not really one to remember such things. I rarely tag my posts in such a way. I am who I am, not hindered by labels.

Not a member of FOPP but I do support them. BarbRad wrote it best, it is a support group to help out the site.
