Snowplow Tracking Map - Now This Is Useful !

I should preface this to say, it could and would be useful if the Snowplow Tracking Map was used in my community.

I happen to come across this information in a neighboring city - the Snowplow Tracking Map - yes! this is a helpful and informative tool for our tax dollars.

Large snows always bring up the question - wonder when the street will be plowed?

Which brings up the second question - if I shovel the driveway, inevitably the city snow plow comes after and donates all the snow back into the driveway.

The Snowplow Tracking Map uses GPS and a real time map which shows where the snowplows are in conjunction with list of priority roads.

I have made peace in my community that my street is on the last to be plowed list and if we are feeling warm and fuzzy, may wing a few salt crystals out your way.

It's be great to know ish when the plows were coming however.

I doubt my street ever has or ever will be plowed. We do good to get interstates, major highways, and bridges/overpasses taken care of. There's no point in going to the expense of plowing everything when it's all going to melt in a day or two anyway.

What a good idea, shame it´s not active where you live.

Ah, we long for the big melt this year!

It seems like a low cost solution , apparently the city gets a ton of when are you plowing calls. Oh well, maybe next year !

In the UK during winter main roads are kept clear, but side roads not touched and it can be a nightmare.

Thank goodness for tech these days because that would have sucked to go through in the 80's or 90's man

We never have problem with snow because it never snows in India, at least South India. Shoveling the snow must be tiresome work, I guess.

That would be nice to know when they are coming by. I can't wait until no more snow and it's all melted!
