My Absence Lately
It has been over a month since I last posted an article here. The birth of my daughter's fifth child has kept me quite busy. When I am not giving my two-year-old Grandson the extra attention he needs of late, I am able to sit and simply enjoy holding my newest Granddaughter. She is now five weeks old and has been pretty much the perfect baby. It can be difficult to give up holding her.
Because of the youngest ones here, and helping out with my older Grandkids, I haven't had much time for writing here. I have managed to do a bit of reading here everyday or so. As my daughter's energy level increases I know I'll be able to have more time for myself.
In the meantime, life has been very, very good!

I've been MIA a lot because I've been busy with Mom, trying to write more at Examiner.com, and posting away at The Other Site That Shan't Be Named to see if I can get one last redemption before it closes down. Nice to see you back, though.

Who can blame you for spending time with the new granddaughter and lending an extra helping hand to your daughter? Just glad to see you're still here. : ) Keep on enjoying all those lovely, fleeting family moments whenever possible. We'll still be right here.

i was absent also, it looks like writing is just for fun now, earnings are too low. Time with grandchildren is very quality time.

Congratulations on your latest grand daughter. Hope your daughter feels up to the task of Being Mum soon so you can have some time to yourself again too. People like me who have never (will never) have children blindly imagine that by number 5 the mum is just popping them out and carrying right on with life as if there was no new baby to take care of, but your daughter proves me totally wrong. Enjoy the youngsters, take care of your daughter. As others have said, that's much more important than being here.

Between spending time here with us and spending time with your grandchildren, it is understandable that you'd spend time with the latter. Enjoy your grandkids as they grow up real fast!

It's wonderful you can enjoy your grandchild and be an important part of their lives. So many grandparents don't have that opportunity.

Getting back on here after an absence is like meeting up with old friends again. My "new" Granddaughter is already almost 6 weeks old - definitely fleeting moments!

Thank you! My daughter is doing quite well - better every day. It actually feels quite good to be needed and I enjoy my Grandchildren so much. They are growing quickly and one of these days I know I'll miss these times.
