30-Day Song Challenge, Day Nine - A Song that You Can Dance To

I love to dance, first of all. I took ballet when I was a kid, but I favor club-style dancing, and one of my favorite club music songs of all times is called "Sandstorm", by Darude. This song is getting some age on it--it was released in 1999. But it's a great song to dance to! I would classify it as trance, and as most trance songs, it has those weird breaks during which the tempo slows down--my friend calls these "hug breaks"--but then the music builds back up into a mind-blowing crescendo that just forces my body into action!

The video for this song is pretty cool, too--it involves a robbery that is perpetrated by a woman--and the driving beat is put to use as a background to the chase, as the two security guards, a man and a woman, pursue her through town and down the railroad tracks. There is a twist ending, but I won't give it away, because I'm sure you can find the video on YouTube. Just make sure you have some room to dance around when you do!

I pulled up the video, and I got the impression that only the first woman was being chased, that the man and the other woman were chasing her. Good, danceable song, though.

You are absolutely right--it had been a while since I first saw it, and I didn't remember it accurately. I edited the article to be correct. By the way, that was Darude sitting on the steps of the bank as they ran past, and at the end of the video, as well.

That would be the most logical character for him to be!
