Dummy! When Will You Learn?

I wish that having done a stupid thing was an isolated incident in life. After all, we are supposed to learn from our mistakes, right? Not do them again?
Yesterday, I wrote another piece for the 30-Day Song Challenge. I wanted to check on a couple of facts, intending to click on another tab. Instead, I hit the "x" button and wiped out the window and lost the article. It was not retrievable. I shut the computer down and left.
Rather than write things first in Word, I have gotten back into the bad habit here (for about 100 posts) of submitting a new article straight from the Persona Paper website, as I am doing now.
So, now I have to wonder: Am I stupid? Or stubborn? Lazy? Perhaps, all three?
Whatever I am, I feel like a jackass.

Oh my gosh, where's the fun in that? lol Learning from our mistakes, I mean -- just the small ones, not anything of life-shattering value. While we're kicking ourselves for knowing better, we also get this little reminder that we are, after all, human. : )

you should write on msword before paste it here but then, you need to do the spacing because all the words would cramp up

I have to admit, my friend, that I do the same thing. I write my posts directly on the website instead of using either Word or Notepad. Considering how tricky it is to actually write IN PersonaPaper, with its strange settings and whatnot, you'd think I'd write my posts on a word processor, then copy/paste them here.

Oh that's annoying. I write directly here because my Word 2003 runs really slowly on my 10 year old PC, so I'd rather just have this one window open and get it over and done with

I write most of my posts straight into the 'Submit New Article' page but longer or more complex stuff I write first in Google Drive just to be on the safe side - Hee Haw!

The only thing I've learned from my mistakes is to blame someone else...

I usually do write just from the website. I have written one or two of them first from a word document. But that was about it.

Okay, hope you don't mind, but you have a fellow jackass club member here too

How about "seeking efficiency"? Writing it in Word first is definitely taking an extra step, so you've been seeking to be efficient, even though it often comes with pitfalls.
