I'm the New Mayor of FOPPTown!

...okay, okay, Clerk. And mainly because nobody else volunteered to do it, sticking melody23 with the job for three months. In her last post about it ( http://personapaper.com/article/25456-stepping-down-as-fopp-clerk-of-the-month ) she sounded a bit sad that more people aren't participating in FOPP, but I think they are--it's just hard to get people to volunteer for stuff, because then there's that fear that they won't stay on top of things, and "things" means making posts about FOPP, which is actually kind of easy, now that I'm right in the middle of doing it.

For those of you who do not yet know what I'm nattering on about, FOPP stands for Friends of Persona Paper. It's basically just a group of us writers on PP who want to support the site by being active. Simple!

What do you do to join FOPP? Just say you want to join. Simple! (Tell me in the comments below).

What do you do once you're in FOPP? Just post, comment, and try to remember to use the FOPP tag on your posts (that's hashtag sign, # , then FOPP). We do that so that we can read the latest posts fro our FOPPy friends. Simple!

Here are the "official guidelines":

1. Visit Persona Paper daily;

2. Spend at least 15 minutes on the site, reading, commenting and posting;

3. Post at least 30 articles per month;

4. Promote worthy content from Persona Paper on social media like Facebook, Twitter, etc

5. Strive to recruit friends to write on Persona Paper (remember, you get coins for this!)

6. Tag each post with FOPP

See? Simple! Besides being stuff you are probably already doing (except for the tagging thing), these aren't even rules; they're just more like reminders. Or goals--you can see them as goals. If you lackin some areas, you can make up in others, I think. For example, I am too lazy to write 30 posts a month (well, lately I've been better about it), but I'm pretty good about remembering to link to other articles (mine and other people's), so that helps compensate). I might not make it on every day, but when I do, I spend WAAAAYYYY more than 15 minutes on here, so it averages out. You know, if you are better at some things than others, you can either try to improve your weak areas or just amp up your strong ones--it's all good!

Simple, right?
