Our Snow

We had three rounds of snow this month but only the last produced much snow that stuck. We ended up with around 7 inches from the last round that came through. I didn't get a lot of photos, but I did get a few I thought I'd share with y'all.

The first I thought was cool. My big ole dog walked through the snow and lefts his footprints behind. He weighs 90 pounds.

Here he is again.

And this is just snow on a bush.

These next two are snow bokeh. I like how they turned out, especially the one with the tree.

I hope y'all liked the photos and that if you got snow it wasn't too terrible. Roy went on storm duty in a town in Tennessee that had almost everyone out of power. Thankfully, our power stayed on.

I had about three handfuls of sleet behind a bush on Round 1. Round 2 was a dusting of snow and sleet that melted fast. Round 3, the one that was supposed to be the Big Event, was a total bust. We were supposed to get between 2-6" -- it was ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN! That's an automatic weather jinx any time an Atlanta forecaster is "certain". It started out as big, huge, beautiful flakes (they did at least get that part right), but by the time the yard was nearly covered, it switched to rain and sleet. Guiness the Cat hated it.

I'm sorry y'all didn't get the pretty snow. It was nice while it lasted.

I have a GSD too, and the first time he saw snow was so funny, he put the brakes on and stopped dead looking at it.

AngelSharum wow lots of snow, as I told you we might go to Georgia and Tennessee soon for a project, so it's going to be cold for us Florida boys. Nice pictures as always!

Love the photos. Glad your power stayed on. Looks like your dog enjoys the snow.

Ours loves it. He runs like crazy in it every time and sticks his nose in it and all that.

Hopefully, all the snow will be over with by your trip.

Thanks. He does. He's stay out there forever. We have to make him come inside.

nbaquero - If you don't like the weather in Georgia or Tennessee one day, wait five minutes. It will change. Should be in the 60s this week.

Oh wow. We have had snow the past two weekends, with some due starting tomorrow. It's pretty to look at; fun for the kiddies to play in; but I'm so sick of it. I cannot wait until spring; warmer weather and flowers lol.

Your pictures are so pretty! I do hope you are enjoying it, and stay warm in this weather!

Haven't experienced snow in a few years. Maybe next year we will spend a weekend up in Big Bear. (Can't get over the snow issues North America is experiencing lately! Looks like winter is "going out like a lion".

I did but my poor husband had to work storm here and other places for two weeks.

AngelSharum wrote on March 6, 2015, 12:34 PM

It has been bad in some places for sure. I hope it calms down for everyone soon.
