Hubpages Paid Me Again - So Regular It's Like Having a Proper Job!

Yes, Hubpages paid me again - it's so regular it's like having a proper job. Every month, as regular as clockwork, Hubpages pays me my cut of the goodies - and very welcome it is too. I do intend to write more there, write more, go more, etc, it's just I sometimes just get daunted by the enormity of effort that's required to pump out some good material.... so then I just shuffle round the forums for a bit, check my stats and leave again.
Over time Hubpages has really made a good residual income for me. I put the effort in on each and every item I wrote - some are duds, many are duds, but, across the board, every month I hit payout - and that's lovely.
When you write for any online writing site, you spend a LOT of time getting up to speed, writing your articles, improving, finding out what works/not etc ... and then any/all tweaking if/when the rules change, so it's nice to see that they're still as reliable as they ever were.

Awesome, congrats! I have only made payout one time at Hubpages, but I'm getting closer to my second. I agree, it takes a lot of effort to reach that level every month. I really need to write more hubs.
WordChazer wrote on February 28, 2015, 5:18 PM
Contrast and compare with certain other sites of our personal knowledge, which, if you are not there, writing and interacting, pay... *whistles*. Not this site, natch. Here I get people posting on my profile asking me when I'm going to write again!

I couldn't get used to the process of writing on hub pages, I cant be doing with those capsule thingys and templates. I just want to write, I cant be bothered with all that other nonsense so I wrote three hubs and never went back. I left them there in the hope that I would eventually go back but I am enjoying the other stuff I do so much more so I never have. I haven't even logged in there for months.

I don't really have much idea on this online writing. Just started with persona paper. Would like to know much about how others do work. Thanks!

I get paid every month most of the time, there was a blank spot the other year when nobody was getting anything due to Google Panda and the changes, but apart from that they've done me well.
1UK_Writer wrote on February 28, 2015, 5:32 PM
Nobody asks me when I'm going to write again - they're more likely to leave notes asking me to stop :)
UK_Writer wrote on February 28, 2015, 5:33 PM
It is long-winded and faffy as you're trying so hard to do everything you need to do - and sometimes I feel the format gets in the way of the things that really matter... e.g. the actual content.
UK_Writer wrote on February 28, 2015, 5:34 PM
Hubpages is much harder. You have to write more, write better, use photos (without a wizard), use their various modules, hope it gets indexed by Google or you might not have bothered, so it's more intense.
WordChazer wrote on February 28, 2015, 5:40 PM
They only ask me when I'm going to write here again because I'm so busy writing elsewhere at times!
GemstonePink wrote on February 28, 2015, 5:54 PM
You put in a lot of hard work to get those payouts. I admire you talent. Well done my friend!
melody23 wrote on February 28, 2015, 5:55 PM
I honestly really don't like it and since I didn't have adsense it wasn't really worth the hassle in the hope that I might get approved for adsense but then again I might not. However after reading your post I went and checked my hubpages account. Two of my hubs are getting decent views and because hubpages are an adsense partner site I can use my hosted adsense account that I now have for my blogger blog on there too. I have just associated it with hubpages, perhaps seeing the pennies come in from there will encourage me to write more hubs. I have loads of old helium articles that would make great hubs if only I could be bothered putting in the effort to convert them. So thank you for the inspiration to at least have another look at hubpages.

I also just saw the note from "HubPages via PayPal" in my email box just before visiting Persona ;) They are really great, they pay like clockwork. That's why I love to write Hubs, but I now do at most one a month because I don't have so much time to write a really good article that I wouldn't put on my own site. But it's definitely worth it. Congrats on the payment!
cmoneyspinner wrote on February 28, 2015, 9:11 PM
When I first started with HUBPages, I had two accounts. The pay was very nice. For some reason my accounts were deleted. Later I went back and set up a new account. Not as active there as when I first started. It's a nice site. Publishing HUBs is still very simplified. But so far I have not received my first payment since RE-signing. Although it does appear that I am earning slowly but surely.

Its really hard work to get paid writing a lot. If you have not the time then you are good to be off with it. Good thing that you have been paid regularly for your time and hard work.
AngelSharum wrote on March 1, 2015, 12:46 AM
I'm glad you do well with them. I know a few people who write there but I never tried it.
iamshane487 wrote on March 1, 2015, 1:57 AM
congrats for your earning in hubpages. I have been with that site but I found difficult in using photos.
scheng1 wrote on March 1, 2015, 2:06 AM
Hubpages is one of the longest surviving sites, and very reliable. They manage to keep a high quality.
UK_Writer wrote on March 1, 2015, 2:08 AM
That was how I started really - wrote 2-3 hubs, associated my account and walked away - and suddenly noticed my Adsense account was increasing because of it (that was back in the day when the Adsense account was your own and not part of their ad programme system). So I went back .... as I could see the potential/money.
UK_Writer wrote on March 1, 2015, 2:09 AM
I fear I waste more time too - logging in and checking the stats, then pondering my navel without writing something new, all sucks up time.
UK_Writer wrote on March 1, 2015, 2:09 AM
One a month is good. I'm writing there at about 2/year maximum and I feel bad about that.
UK_Writer wrote on March 1, 2015, 2:10 AM
Anything, at first, seems slow - it is only over time and with perseverence that we can see where our efforts should have been spent.
UK_Writer wrote on March 1, 2015, 2:11 AM
Yes. I've let "life" get in the way of trying hard to bring in the money I used to earn. Now I need to get the incomeback to where it used to be.
UK_Writer wrote on March 1, 2015, 2:12 AM
It is tough going. I was there in 2007 and have gone through so many interface changes and rules changes there. In fact, that's something that stopped me writing a lot there - because every time they made a rule change during 2011 it meant spending hours going through my old hubs to tweak them. That alone could take 40 hours to do/get right.
UK_Writer wrote on March 1, 2015, 2:13 AM
The rules and methods there are no different to using photos on any other sites, so not sure what trouble you might have had.
UK_Writer wrote on March 1, 2015, 2:14 AM
Yes. So many sites over the years, wasting people's valuable time. I was lucky I found them!
BrenndaMarie wrote on March 1, 2015, 5:04 AM
Glad, to hear you are doing so good with Hubpage. That is one site I really do not know much about.
MakeMoneyOnline wrote on March 1, 2015, 5:08 AM
I used to have such times too. Relatively recently (a few months back) I told myself it had to change and that I have to write one a week... Well, I manage one a month now but I'd like to do more. Good luck!
Hollyhocks100 wrote on March 1, 2015, 5:22 AM
I really must get back to posting on HP. I became disheartened by all the work for little reward and only once have I ever made payout 3 months in a row, that was due to a heatwave in the UK. Now I know what works and what doesn´t ( sometimes) I am thinking over getting stuck in again.
melody23 wrote on March 1, 2015, 1:51 PM
I am still trying to figure out adsense. I have never written anywhere that requires it because I know how difficult it is to get an account, however I didn't realise how easy it is to get a hosted account and just how many sites you can use it on. I didn't realise I could use my hosted account on hubpages until I checked it out last night after reading your post.
I definitely need to get my head round it a bit better, my blog is actually getting a reasonable amount of views considering its so new, but only a fraction of them are showing in adsense and I highly doubt that all those missing views are bots or people with adblockers - we are talking literally hundreds of uncounted views. Now I also need to figure out the hubpages earning system lol.
I know a lot of old helium writers who make a decent chunk of change on hubpages, mostly from their old helium articles that they transferred after the site shut down. I see no reason why I would be any different other than the fact that I am just to lazy to deal with those capsule thingys.
AngelSharum wrote on March 1, 2015, 6:53 PM
WOW! That would drive me crazy.
celticeagle wrote on March 2, 2015, 3:04 PM
We may get a lot of duds but when one goes over well it makes all the difference in the world. Keeps us going.
1FreyaYuki wrote on March 3, 2015, 11:04 AM
Wow. That's great. Congrats on getting your payment from HubPages
I'm just starting to write there so don't have all that many hubs posted yet but am planning to write more.

Well that's good news, nice to know there are reliable sites out there. What is your name on there?
