Stepping down as FOPP Clerk of the month
Today is my last day as FOPP clerk of the month and I just wanted to post one more update before handing the reigns over to AliCanary who takes over tomorrow as our clerk for March.
I have actually been clerk of the month for three months since, until now there was no one willing to take over. Being totally honest that makes me kind of sad. when FOPP was started by SuffolkJason it was supposed to be about the most active members of the site working together to build up content and promote the site as well as helping out new members here. The idea was that a different member would take on the role of clerk of the month each month and sort of put their own spin on how exactly the group accomplishes these goals.
I do believe that some FOPP members are still the most active members here, although there are many who have long since disappeared. I hope that AliCanary can reinvigorate the group to become more active in a way I wasn't able to.
On a personal note, I plan to do more to promote the site. I currently promote some of my articles on a regular basis through automated tweeting, but I don't do much to actually encourage people to come here and write. That is my personal goal for the month of March.
Before I hand over to AliCanary let me explain one last time what on earth I am talking about to anyone reading this post who has no idea what FOPP is.

In case you need a reminder, the goals of the FOPP challenge are:
1. Visit Persona Paper daily
2. Spend at least 15 minutes onsite with each daily visit, reading and commenting
3. Post at least 30 articles each month
4. Promote worthy content on Persona Paper via social media, etc.
5. Strive to recruit new members to Persona Paper
6. Tag each post you write with FOPP so it can be easily found.
Please remember that these are not 'must-do' challenges, rather goals that we aim to achieve. Few of us meet all the challenges every month and that's absolutely fine. FOPP is about being active on the site and spreading the word. I also like to think that our members, being some of the most active on the site (many of us are also some of the longest serving members) can also use our knowledge of the site, or writing in general to help new members with any questions they may have.

If you would like to join the FOPP challenge you can leave a comment here on this post and I will add you to the list, AliCanary will almost certainly copy and paste the list from this post and keep it updated throughout March as that is what I did when I took over so the list remains current at all times.
With that let me say I have had a great time as FOPP clerk of the (three) months and I hope AliCanary enjoys it as much as I have.

A great idea - I'd not heard of FOPP before - but I can't load the tag page as it's too big and long, it freezes my PC.
Good luck with it though, it's good you're working together and I'll make sure I check out all the people in your list.
I do most of that lot already, so I'll read your list again and see if I should be adding the FOPP tag and just not going to that page myself :)
Just checked the list and I already do 1-5 every day/week/month, it's just going to the FOPP tag that I can't achieve.

Yes, a thankless task - I'd be running from running from that level of commitment as online stuff usually leads to somebody feeling aggrieved through their own personal "I'm offended" filter and not being persuaded they're in the wrong - and I'm not a people person :)

I think you've done a fine job of representing Friends of Persona Paper, FOPP, not only as clerk for three months, but as a member of the community here. Thank you for everything positive you add to the site and the group. : )
AliCanary you've got some great shoes to fill, but I'm certain you're up to the task.

You don't have to visit the tagged pages, you just have to add the FOPP tag to your posts (I often forget so don't feel bad if you don't remember or aren't able) I will add you to the list just now, you will likely get a notification that you have been tagged in a post when you load it it will be this post again, its just because I added your name as a tag in the list.

I did the same when I first took over and it made life a lot easier because it meant I had the members list and the list of goals on a post that I could go back to and retrieve them for my future updates rather than having to go and look through all the old FOPP posts to find them.
