Amazing Apple Brownies

I did not think apples and brownies made good partners, but these APPLE BROWNIES proved me wrong.
INGREDIENTS:
2/3 cup butter or margarine
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts, optional
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup apples, chopped
powdered sugar for garnish
PROCEDURE:
Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and the vanilla; mix well. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir well. Stir in the apples and nuts. Grease a 12x9x3-inch pan and fill pan with brownie mixture. Bake at 350-degress for 35 minutes. Allow brownies to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar or frost with your favorite icing.

I have a really hard time making brownies in my oven. It doesn't regulate the heat well and I don't know I just have never ever been able to make them very well. I love brownies too so its disappointing. Adding apples makes it healthier which is awesome but I wouldn't have expected it to be good. Pretty cool.

Yes, apple brownies are good. I know that I have had them before, but I cannot quite remember the when or where... only that they were good.
